It looks as if this section of our forums has been neglected for awhile!
I'd like to congratulate MMaverick for his recent promotion to Head of Bot Development! If you are wondering who he is, read on!
MMav has been a pillar of the TW programming community for quite some time. Like all of our programmers, he has been working behind the scenes making possible many of the things that we take for granted here in TW Thank him if you see him!
So what is a head of bot development going to do? Hopefully he is going to ensure that we can continue taking for granted what we do! Just about everything in our zone revolves around our bot system these days. TWD, TWL, and most of our hosted events make use of bots, and they all require constant work to keep them running.
In addition to the duties mentioned above, Mmaverick has also been tasked with another job. He is on the lookout for players who are interested in working with TW to improve and repair our current bots and also to create new bots! This doesn't mean he is going to teach you to program (I've already asked!), but if you are already fairly proficient in java and are interested in doing some work for TW I encourage you to have a chat with him. There will be more on this to come as MMaverick settles into his new position.
Congratulations MMaverick!
