    just give mvp to the one who scores most points during a round/game.

    sharks kill alot because they line, terriers well they are a special case, give them some sort of bonus the less they are killed or something, don't make things hard.

      I have one suggestion: Roboboy should let people use !ship # even if there are "enough sharks" as it likes to tell me and wont allow me to switch ships. The sad thing is, I needed to be a shark cuz no one was repping the mines out of the fr entrance. They all were out in mid tube mining everywhere. It seems odd that Roboboy wont let me help out the team cause there are "already enough sharks-"- enough worthless sharks that is.

      As for the MVP system and stats at the end of the round, what if it was something like prodem, where it lists those fun stats like "worst killer," or "best dodger," etc (I cant remember exactly what they are in prodem but you get the idea). I think that would be a fun addition.

        I totally agree with MirrorriM the enough sharks is not cool at all. The rest of the update is however top notch!

          i had the same problem except that there was no deficiency of any ship, so i couldn't change ships with the !ship command. it seems like this is an effort to preserve the previous MVP prereq's. If MVP is moving away from someone who stays the same ship for a whole round only, it seems like you should be able to change ships reguardless of how many are on the team as long as you're helping out. I know that's the problem yall are trying to solve atm, it just seems like MVP is moving towards a more meaningful accomplishment but it still requires one to stay the same ship (the prev. requirement).

          I guess what I'm trying to get at is: will the new MVP be based soley on performance? will it only be available to terr, spid, shark? will someone be able to switch to wb/jav/lanc and still get MVP as long as no ships are needed? will there be any changes to team leader or will it still be based on MVP +flag caps?

            Did you try talking to them? I found out that if you contact people in a personal manner, and clearly explain to them what they might be doing wrong. And then motivate them to do something else as being important for the team, most of them listen to you.

              We can just up the "ideal" amount of sharks from 2 to 3 if you'd like. You're right that sometimes there will be 2 sharks doing absolutely nothing... it might be hard justifying 3 sharks per freq, but then again, it's better than the players being in a jav. 3 sharks is probably not all that bad for a team of 15, anyhow ... I suppose a basing team of 8 often has 2. ICan up the "ideal" spider count, too, to give more positions to change to without losing MVP.

              Regarding changing MVP to something more meaningful, MVP will most likely become a more prized status, while what we currently call MVP -- just sticking with the same ship and freq -- will probably become something else, maybe not listed in an arena msg, but will still provide full bounty bonus and (in the case of longer battles) small prizes. MVP itself will most likely become just an honor thing: your name on the screen.

              Maybe we could do individual prizes: "best terr," "best shark," "best spider," and so on? Though that would be quite a few ships to display info on. Perhaps best terr and best shark could be their own categories, and then "best support ship" for everything else? I dunno. Would be nice if it didn't require a whole lot of processing on the part of the bot, but would still be meaningful to players. One method to rank best terr might be how many people attach to it -- usually a good indicator as to the more reliable terr ... the ones that die quickly are generally not used for a lift. The overall team leader could be the winner of one of the three categories with most grabs.

                Yes. Out of the 50 times I've asked for something maybe 1 person actually listens. People constantly spam for players to stop mining fr or to change to a spider, and look how many people continue to do the same thing.
