    In a recent game where I was playing weasel I still found bursts one of the major causes of death and I was small enough to halve the chances of them hitting me. Today after the change, bursts were still the major cause of death for me while defending the FR entrance as lanc - terriers still had enough to use them offensively rather than for the defensive purpose they were mainly designed for.

    Ports I don't mind so much about - if they become a big problem then switching to spider with antiwarp ought to partially counter them but there isn't anything good against bursts.


    35 minute stalemates
    Not sure why this is happening but I feel cheated when a game is forced to a draw after only 30 mins or so. I imagine the people who really liked the long games are even more disappointed. If people had voted for an early stalemate I would accept it. If the game had ended with a win at 30 minutes this would be ideal. If it had been forced to stalemate after 50 minutes I would be glad to get some points after all that fighting and eager to have a break. When it moves to stalemate after only 30 min when the battle is still in full swing it is very frustrating.

    okay... max ports is set at 4 so if you were shoting at them consecutivly and they were luckly enough to hit the 30 secs regen in the middle of it they would be able to warp from you 5 times and then be out of ports and have to wait 20-30 secs to get a port... meaning that you drained them of all their ports and made them weak to your teammates. consider that you have to make the terr fun to play cause we all know what happens when no one terrs... true this shouldn't be a be all end all agruement for the terr but, the terr isn't the most powerfull ship out there and it still dies... I know from watching in spec with ops. Even with a port if I come up to one spider that has a good super going I can pretty much say I'm dead cause unless my port is outside fr (which is rare or something else happens randomly that helps me) it can just change direction and kill me

    You can't just keep nerfing the terr until you're able to kill them under any circumstance

    You can't just keep nerfing the terr until you're able to kill them under any circumstance :P

    The Distension Terrier needs what it has to protect against rocketting weasels, rocketting javs, shrap, one kill bullets coming from lancs, wbs (who else has blue bullets at this point)? Not to mention the nme terrier AND lanc bursts, cloaking and bullet firing sharks, super spiders, etc etc etc. It's tough being a terr. A live terr anyway. Most especially with ph flying all over your ass.

    Agreed. Unlimited portals (for all practical purposes) was one of the original reasons for suggesting the summon ability. It's purpose was to give the Terrier something new so we could reduce the amount of things like portals and other abilities. And having less bursts flying around is always good for basing since it reduces the luck factor.

    Suggestion to ops - Maybe a small assist % for enemies who are killed while sphered/blinded/etc?

    It takes me forever to level after 30 it seems, and considering terrs have a higher RP leech and they kill a lot, it takes me 4 times as long to level in my OPs than it does in my terr. :/

    And I agree with ph, id rather have a terr get 5 bursts than 5 portals any day.

    Three things:

    - My Jav lost 50 UPs because of the bomb upgrade bug. I did !scrapall * and had 500 UPs at level 55. The yellow bombs cost 50 so the error obviously comes from that. I also just realized I may have lost RP from !scrapall by testing this stuff out. I was at like 97% of the level and it took an eternity to get there. Sigh. I am of course hoping that !scrapall doesn't take RP anymore.. anyone know?

    - The bot crashed today. The most likely reason for the crash was that I was sitting on top of the flag with my cloaker and a shark tried to take the flag. That resulted in a huge amount of flag changes in a short amount of time and most likely caused the bot to crash. I think this has happened at least once before.

    - I still didn't get to test my Jav because of the missing UPs incident. It would be nice if some of the Javs would comment on the latest yellow bomb nerf. I have heard comments about the bombs taking way too much energy now. I also don't understand the need for the 2nd nerf since I didn't hear people complaining after the 1st one.

    Sure, they might. But many people seem to be playing one or two ships, so it should be possible to make it much more unlikely that no one on one freq wants to terr or shark. I think that's well worth striving for, even if it's not a perfect solution.
