I thought of a Trenchwars Riddle

A warbird detected a cloaker with both stealth and cloak on and fired at him. The warbird doesnt have X radar, and was not told or hinted by a ship that does have X-radar or on spec. The cloaker did not touch the flag, didnt fire, nor run out of energy. The Cloaker was not hit by any bullets nor duds or eats. How did the warbird detect the presence of the cloaker?

The wall hitting dosnt make sense at all, but cloaker picking up a green does .
