I actually thought it might turn out well. Another website I frequent a lot (i-mockery.com) is doing the same thing. Obviously we could have tried to pair people with those closest to each other geographically.

I'm 24... so certainly not a kid and maybe not old enough to be... well.. old... and I didn't feel the need to be a smartass here or yell about how adults don't care about things like this.

Sometimes this community can *really* fucking cool... but I have to admit, other times they suck. It would have been neat to send each other some weird (but cool) stuff. Anyways... if Trenchwars has nothing else left in this world... they at least have a strong (but small) community. No we don't have 12 million players like WoW... but we have a thousand who know each other pretty well and spend more time chatting than flying. Then someone tries to do something friendly over a big holiday... and .. this.

This MIGHT almost be a neat idea, except I'm sure many of us, myself included, are pretty reluctant to give out our addresses. Plus, if my brother saw that I got a secret santa package from a subspace person, he would kick my ass.
