The problem with Paladen is this: The owner(s) feel that the squadname is too valuable to give to the caps (it's a name with history that many longtime players recognize and possibly respect). They will -never- be able to trust captains with the squadname because of this. As a result, the squad is tied to just one person (the current trusted 'owner') with no necessary interest in the running of the squad. If he goes inactive, the captains' hands are tied. I felt this firsthand when we forfeited a TWLJ because our 5th player wasn't ?squadjoined and no one knew the squad pw (actually wouldn't have been an issue if the caps had been active... but whatever).

Honestly, maybe it's time for Paladen to retire as an active squad, allowing all its current members to go on and run a squad properly without being slowed down by these ownership issues. Also, the squadname may cause people to have higher expectations than its players can realistically deliver.

Louis, before I even begin. Why would you make such a silly thread? You and l both know that you dont have any personal information regarding any of these things you commented on.

Im not sure where you think you're getting your resources from, but this is not true. The captains of paladen have always had the password to the name that owns paladen. This slightly changed two months ago after Sefarius decided to grant paladen to another player as a joke. Like I said multiple times already, I had the password for the name, but I forgot what it was (didn't right it down.) I also have upster's personal contact information if I need to conact him, as I said before. Please share with me how this could cause any long-term laps of communication?

Also, paladen was dropping out of TWLJ reguardless of what happened on the last game. The captains and a few other members agreed to drop out the week before our last game took place. We did not notify staff in time, or we would not have even been in the situation you mentioned durring our last TWLJ game.

As far as paladen retiring as a squad, it will never happen. I think it's completely ignorant for people to make the dumb founded assumption, like you just did, that paladen is "dying". Sure, Paladen is a diffrent squad today then it was in the beginning. Hell, it's a diffrent squad then it was 3 months ago, but the truth of the matter is that Paladen has a great amount of potential. Sure, many people think they need to act like they are "in the know" and lash out against squads, along with what I say, but there will always be critiqs. There will always be egotistical players that thrive off of putting down squads with a desire to improve.

In ending, I don't think that a squad that plays 7+ twd games a day should be insulted with comments about disbanding. TW already has enough inactive squads, why add to that problem by "dissolving" an active squad? Paladen consistently holds a top 10 ranking in all three leagues. No, not the best, but a good place to start.
