I think Snipe! recommended it. It's pretty damn helpful.

Regular:

z - port

Pretty much it. I play with everything on except for the rotating ship and the trails n shit. Anyone have good sound fx? I remember Crazi posted one that was pretty cool. I lost it. =(

If you seriously want to be a moderator, you'll need to be an active, contributing user for well over a few months to even be considered. Pestering the current moderators or administrators to become a moderator essentially guarantees that you won't be selected.

You go into your SS graphics file, open it with paint, find the orange-brownish numbers, recolor the numbers whatever you want. Voila, different colored chat numbers! (along with multicolor numbers whenever people type them).

Sorry for 6 month bump, but I got some great ideas from this thread, namely, making jav bombs different colors before and after the bounce.

Other crap I use:
-Big bullets/burst (tried the aim enhancer suite and hated it, but kept the bullets)
-Replaced explosions with the rather muted halloween blood explosions, so that player deaths do not conceal an oncoming shark bomb.
-Changed Golden Shield of Awesomeness to Spinning Axe of Death
-Brighter turret graphic so I can tell which way other turrets are aiming
-Purple reps (maybe I'm just like my father, too bold)
-Changed shark mines to the spinning L1 mines (look like levi mines but red)
-Changed shark bombs to Thor's Hammer, but instead of blue with purple satellites, I made it red with yellow satellites. Much brighter, easier to see, looks badass, like me in my jogging suit.
-Changed shark bomb/mine sound to the fart sound (bong15). More appropriate.
-Renamed/deleted all those obnoxious sounds for when mods advertise events. I have brought PEEEEAAAAACE to my new empire!
-Deleted the background hiss of outer space
-Xradar on caps lock. Easier to toggle when hunting weasels while flying backwards spraying arse bullets in jav (I play on laptop)
-Burst on ~, attach on space bar, warp on comma, h to see the entire map on radar, other random key mappings. I never touch the F keys.
