nothing emo about it, if you don't like what's been changed then you either stand up and do something about it or shut the fuck up. and of course it's only in pub, does anyone here think they'd implement the change zonewide off the bat or test it out in pub first and see how things go? as long as the intention is to only keep it in pub then i'd be ok with that but if the pattern follows like most other changes, then it's a change in this arena or that arena and then zonewide if there aren't any problems.

Do you realize that the fucking TWL map is larger HORIZONTALLY than VERTICALLY!? It gives widescreen players a fucking HUGE advantage (okay maybe not HUGE advantage but definately alot of help) to see people coming at them / aim better from the side.

Why do you think people in the past aren't considered good rushers today? It's because they didn't need to rush and it wasn't effective because they lost something called ELEMENT OF SUPRISE. Being able to see the direction someone's ship is a massive advantage. You'll be able to calculate exactly how fast you can get there before the other player turns around. This totally destroys rushing tactics. Any half-ass decent player knows the key to vultching is to pick on somebody who ISN'T FACING you and ISN'T READY when you pop out on their screen.

This is ridiculous. Change it back now.

EDIT: This is speaking from a pretty top end warbird's point of view and from someone that this advantage can only benefit as I have a widescreen. Even so, this is fucking ridiculous, this completely changes the aspect of gameplay.

if it were up to me though, id raise it further to atleast 1680x1050 if not remove it completely.

either that, or decrease it to 640x480 so that everyone with even the worst computer is equal.

Reason why the cap is set at its current settings is because it's the resolution a vast majority of gamers use. If it weren't for this fact I wouldn't give up on changing the cap.

Yeah but it isn't like he threw dice and it ended up at this setting without a reason. This is setting is generally the most used resolution setting for gamers, and if you want to pick it by majority then it's the obvious choice.

I'm getting semibored of this debate now, everyone refuses to look at it from a different view than their own. This goes for both sides. Either way what we do we'll have a group saying that this is killing the zone, and to me it looks like it's dead already. Do what you want, I doubt either setting will get me to play more/less than what I do now.
