Ginormous Bounty Weekend

It was an awesome weekend in pub if you like points. I saw a few people in 2 days amass over 900,000 during the raised flag and bounty bonus. What I would like to know is what you all thought.
Was this fun?
Did it add more to the action?
Would you like to see more weekend special pub events?

I even think that it would be awesome to always let terriers attach to eachother without the minimal 20 bty restriction in pure pub.
1. You never have to look for a terr anymore as more people will be eager to play as one
2. It causes such intensive battle in the base as you can no longer kill one terr and gain power over base (as it normally is)

Regarding weekend events... I like this, keep em coming! It will definitely encourage me to check back on weekends what's going on.
In fact if you don't apply what I said here in pure pub then I think you should do this EVERY weekend. I don't care if it's the same settings or not.

I thought it was fun. Was a bit difficult to figure out how much bounty you needed to attach, but it didn't take too long. I ESPECIALLY liked having full shrap every respawn.

To add to it:

Rotate maps more frequently, but keep them up for less time. I like the holiday maps, but they are hit and miss. People love the hits but the misses (like april fool's day) don't need to stay up for 3 days just to piss ppl off. It would also be a good way to "test" pub maps. Have it up for 1 day or the whole weekend, and then you get feedback the entire next week. Try a new idea or expand on the previous map with the feedback from the last week.

Also it would be fun to be able to buy more things with those points. I mean decoys are fun (and expensive) but it would be great to buy other things as well. Can you buy shrapnel? Maybe allow any ship to be able to buy xradar? More ships that could buy antiwarp? More diverse greens? (more warps, engine kills, decoys?, less multifires)

If I can recall correctly, there was one last February for Valentine's day.. and Easter/Christmas have been annual still.

It was pretty fun as a short term thing, esp. terriers being able to attach and the crazy amount of shrap, but it's not something I would want to stay in long-term. More bursts and shrap means more random kills, and random kills at least to me are pretty annoying. I prefer to be able to play against my opponent and not their luck.

15 shrap was fun, but I gotta say....it ruined the pure pub.
