    Dear Staff,


    I have only been answered by one person from my help call on why was the public 0 arena priv freq set to a limit of 10? In which this person did not know why so I come to the forum for answers.

      Ah, I see you went ahead and bought those extra lines of coke, disregarding my advice. I told you they'd add up to more than ten, I even kidnapped somebody to confirm it for me.

        Well I seem to remember the private freq player limit coming around just before PubBot's made thier original appearance. While I may be mistaken, I think the original purpose was to curttail the occasional appearance of large private frequencies taking over the base and killing the pub base game. I haven't seen it happen in a long time, but there was a time when squads would ?go 0 and take over a pub, often resulting in another squad coming and trying to fight for the base. This would in turn result in two private frequencies of 10+ players with the other 15 players in the arena (at the time arena settings allowed 35 in pubs) split between the two pub frequencies and unable to have any effect on the public basing game.

        For a time, private frequencies weren't allowed in pub at all, and I believe this is the healthy medium that the zone operators settled on.
