Priority? What is this, NASA? Hal was great, obscenity and all. Here's a simple fix though: just discard any lines he hears that contain nasty words. It shouldn't be hard to come up with a list to cover 95% of eventualities. And if a few manage to slip by and make their way to our virgin ears, well, so what? The offense to delicate sensibilities is more than offset by hours of cheap entertainment.
