Ahh, hopefully nothing too serious and easily fixable.
I'm in TW right now and the zone seems fine. A bit different than how I remember it. Then again I guess it's been the better part of a decade since I played there on a regular basis.

Well, it would be nice to at least have the lev vote back in pub 0, but there are two problems with that: 1) It makes any other vote very difficult to carry out, and 2) It would (and did) often result in there being nowhere to play ship 4 at all. As much as I hates me some levs, the fact remains that a lot of people (less than the pubber majority, IMO) like having it in the game, and we should not shaft them just because they happen to have poor taste and a dearth of skill.

On the other hand, the weasel got the shaft hardcore, overnight, without consideration for the impact on basing or the player base that liked it. What I would really like to see is [Edit: Nevermind. Apparently it was already tried.]

Or something along those lines. The controversy has raged a long time. We could at least "try" some new settings, where "try" means "permanently modify unless there is a huge outcry or a new staffer takes over who personally prefers different ship settings." Just like the weasel.

Of course, when logic would say that since the top pub doesnt get restricted as bad by votes so therefore most people in that pub dont want to play base, the forum whiner basers come here to tell us what 'everyone' wants!

That's because the vote to restrict levis was removed from the first pub so basers don't even bother entering it anymore. When the vote WAS there levis were almost always restricted except for late night.

I agree, having a pub game that changes to the wants of the population is the best thing. So why isn't the vote to restrict levis enabled in the first pub?

Edit: Also, how about what I've seen mentioned in-game a lot: a "pure basing" vote and a "no restrictions" vote. This way if the majority of players want no restrictions or want pure basing settings they don't have to wait 20 minutes to !startvote each and every setting.
