Paid entry tournament - In the Works

Seriously. I think i 5-0 the kid last time i dueled him and he begged me to cancel it so he wouldn't lose points. Kid is garbage.

The only part of this tournament that is starting to get to me is that half of all the people who put their $5 in will lose in round one and will be done. With the understanding that this is a fundraiser of sorts, it should be fine, but I am currently working on a way to let people play more than just one round.

Well just do a double elimination tournament. Or do pools of people. Everyone in each pool will duel everyone else in their pool. Maybe the top 2 will make it to the bracket of 64 or 32. It just all depends on how many people enter. I'd say if its over 40 then do pools, otherwise do a double elimination bracket.

Either of these are very east to set up. There are many programs that do everything for you. Most game tournaments are done in this format.

I suggest getting TIO tournament maker to do the pools and brackets. It is primarily used for Super Smash bros brawl but it can work just fine for this.

Well we will probably do this in a day with ?go tourny if there is a way to set it up properly.

Well u would need to do the tournament in a custom way so it would be impossible to do in go tourny. It would probably be faster if it was done manually. Would actually be easier to do the 1v1 tourny in ?go duel. Also if any1 is up to it maybe a bot can be made specifically for this.

I believe it would be easier to do a 1v1 tournament through ?go duel and it will have less flaws if there were any, but it would be nice to have a set system for it from the get-go. If I can find a programmer to set up a bot to have the ability to do this, it would be nice. I'm sure it's just a value that needs to be created for the tournament bot for this to happen. I'm really set on double elimination at the moment though.

Due to conversations with MMaverick and other active players (credit to Lock for input) with suggestions towards the tournament, I believe this tournament will be hosted manually in ?go duel or some other arena without using the quick automated pace of a tourny bot. If any rejections, please state them here.
