  • Attention all bot programmers!

I am looking for someone who can create a modified version of tournybot to do double eliminations. When the Paid Entry Tournament comes, it will hold a lot more interest for players if they can play at least 2 rounds. If any programmers have any time to work with this I would appreciate it. I am uncertain how difficult it actually is, but I feel as if it wouldn't be too hard.

    Thank you,
    Lance

I tried that about a year and a half ago for the same thing. To no avail. I even tried myself and failed.

I figured this forum gets more attention than twcore does at this moment.

          It's actually twcore.org

And what comes to attention, all the bot coders should view newly submitted, yet non-taken tickets rather often. It's your best bet. Over the forum.

I've registered twcore.com and let it mirror twcore.org . The website is hosted at both domains.

Lance, like HTF said, submit a ticket at twcore.org and we'll see what we can do. Make sure you also submit a deadline or target date if there is one already set.

Lance I have told you this many times. The money tournament cannot be strictly a double elimination tournament. Every game tournament for money is done by manually separating people into pools and then seeding them according to how good they do in the pools. Would you really wanna risk the chance you see something like vys vs scoop and apok vs reaver in round one?
The easiest way to hose the tourny is to manually host it or do it over the course of a weekend using ?go duel.

I really think these tournys will be a real dud if you do a straight up random seeded double elimination tournament. Why code a bot if these tournaments will be held sparingly. Get a few mods and ERs to come in and all host the event together.
3:Steadman> ive been a leader in every league of legends and basketball game ive ever played in

That's a good question, I was wondering the same but hoping we could modify the tournybot so it could host it.

Like Lock said, for such important tournaments I would recommend hosting it manually. You don't want the bot to hang during the tournament and being forced to start all over because you don't know what was happening (I'm not saying bots are unstable to begin with but you have to consider all scenarios.).
