Just a small suggested tweak for the RobotBoy bot that handles the timed pub games in first and second arenas.
Please consider making a !ship 3 (Spider), !ship 5 (Terrier), !ship 8 (Shark) always valid, never getting the mesage "your team has too many of this type" or "you are still needed as your current ship".
Pub games often have hordes of players trying stuff that has little to do with the flag. That's all well and good, but the few of us that want to play the flagging game in pub often need to switch around between Shark, Terrier, and Spider as needed, because it's often difficult to get team-mates to play them as required for flagging.
For example, all the Sharks might be either mining tube, on a turret, or not there at all. Sure we could always use "esc-ship_number" in a pinch, but constantly having our flagging score (team leader, mvp) reset kind of defeats some of the fun in a flagging game. If you've done well, you might want it to show at the round's end.
!ship was designed to allow ship changes within the flagging match (presumably ship changes that would help the team), just please consider giving it this added flexibility. Thanks.
If there is a concern that this might be used to abuse bounties (getting +25 each change), then just remove the +25 bounty bonus. Competitive players will change to whichever ship their team needs, the +25 bounty isn't going to be a deciding factor in a typical trenchwars ship's short lifespan (until the next respawn).
