actually, this is just a first step for social games. the plan is to incorporate more Subspace elements into it (while still leaving plain old board games as an option). for example, for chess there will eventually be the ability for players to duel for squares with weighted ships ala BattleChess. Similar ideas are planned for forthcoming Stratego and Risk.
the benefit of having games in Subspace is that you can still use your chats while playing the game, and its also easier to get your Subspace friends to play, increasing sense of community.
also, it enables us to create our own custom rules for games... like scrabble with word length bonuses or scrabble without dumb words

Teeth through ass?
What a weird idea using action game engine for board games. It is like repairing teeth through ass.
The guy who spent years reverse-engineering and then re-implementing a 10-year old game is going to knock on my 2 month venture into an innovative and fun new game style?
