Why doesn't this zone implement what EG does?

In TW, we could possibly have:
-Top 5 points
-Top 5 W/L ratio
-Top 5 Elim
-Top 5 Baseelim

It would incent people to try..hence people playing more..which causes other players to play more since there are more people to play with....and so forth.

yea and because adding random fucking numbers as an annoying ass splash screen when you are trying to play and get into action, is something you really just want..........Fail. That shit always bothers me when entering a zone that has a splash screen, it's really fucking irritating. There is a reason why TW, as simple as it is, has the most population. EG fucking blows anyways. So anything they use, or any ideas of theirs, hence and therefore, must ALSO blow big dick.

And let's see... if it were added to the corner of the map, even then it's not going to help. Like anyone decent who has been playing this game long enough, is gonna give a shit about some fucking random ass stats. Seriously?

No, this won't help our population crisis, it will just keep going down the way it has been. These little "ideas" (as terrible as they come) aren't going to help this zone gain population. There is only one thing that can truly save us:

A total fucking overhaul...aka something that will not happen here.

It's too bad Continuum downloads graphics so slow, the download would be the biggest problem with this - especially if everybody has to download the graphic again every 2 weeks.

TW had soemthing like this maybe 4 or 5 years ago. It was a small ticker that pubbed up in the middle of screen for like 3 or 5 seconds and showed you the TWL standings. I never had a problem with it and was kinda cool.

I don't think would be an issue, most maps take less than 5-10 seconds to load and adding a graphic like this isn't going to increase that by much.

What's pointless is putting all that work into this: http://www.trenchwars.org/index.php?v=pubstats (which you did a very good job with btw) and then not announcing it's existence inside the zone so most people remain unaware of it's existence.

Maybe it seems pointless to you because you don't play pub. But a lot of people actually do play pub and they would enjoy it. Just like the pubbers would think TWL stats would be pointless since they don't play TWL.

I don't think they change the template for it every time , the only thing you need to do is make a lvz with objons and make the bot get the stats for top players etc. etc. and then turn on the right objons

It would be better if it could be to the side of the screen and arranged vertically instead of horizontally; that way it would be minimally invasive for those who easily get bothered by splash screens.

You mean a template and then turning on the correct letters each time someone enters?
I thought of it like that at first too but considering the amount of text they display, I seriously doubt they do it that way.

Some time ago I played with putting text on the screen like that. I noticed it was a serious impact on the client as for every letter you would have the entire alphabet configured for it.

They have
15 names *18 letters= 270 positions * 26 letters = 7020 lvz objects
(1st column) 5 names * 9 numbers = 45 positions * 10 numbers = 450 lvz objects
(2nd column) 5 names * 5 numbers = 25 positions * 10 numbers = 250 lvz objects
(3rd column) 5 names * 6 numbers = 30 positions * 10 numbers = 300 lvz objects

that would be a grand total of 8020 lvz objects. I doubt you can even make so much lvz objects.

Plus, a bot can never toggle all the needed lvz objects at once when you enter - you would surely see it being built up as the bot toggles the correct lvz objects on.

It's most likely that they use a template and then have the bot create the names and the scores column on top of it. Being that that isn't very easy to do, they might just do it completely manual every 2 weeks
