Advertise on facebook. Heres how it works: Facebook has a pay-per-click platform. You create an ad, and you pay per each click you get. So if someone saw your ad, clicked on it, you would have to pay 60 cents.

Say our budget is $1000, so at 60 cents per click (for US traffic), gives you 1515 visitors who may potentially download the game.. lets say 5% of those visitors convert, thats 75 new players.

Traffic is way cheaper in another countries - Canada (40 cents/click), Finland,Sweden,Holland, it goes down to 25 cents a click.

Why do I know this will work? Because another game is being promoted on facebook called "Dark Orbit" (www.darkorbit.com) and it converts at about 8-10%. I have tested this myself. That game has even worse graphics than SS, yet people are downloading and playing it.



The only question is whos willing to shell out the money though to pay for this?

Even if they download the game, whats to stop them from going to another zone? you would need all the zones to agree to a plan and make it an ad for subspace alone not just TW.

Worst idea ever, especially when you'll have children potentially clicking the platform for the sake of clicking it. I wouldn't be surprised if some TW players carried out such acts, many players seem immature enough.

Thus, it'd be economically unfeasible for this free game to execute, unless priitk or someone with actual status (AKA scrilla) would be willing to take complete responsibility. I just don't see any high school or college student taking on such a burden...and anyone older who's even considering doing so (probably someone who's overly attached to the game) should re-prioritize what they should spend their money on (unless they're able to shell out such money like it's nothing....but then why would they be playing such a shitty game in the first place?).



Now coming from a more optimistic standpoint, let's say you do convert that 5% and gain 75 new members. You have to factor, out of these 75 new players, how many will actually continue to play after a week? A month? A year? Or let's say they continue playing, but how active will they be? Will they sign on everyday? Once a week? Once every few weeks? etc....will these new players actually "change" anything?

In this particular case, unless it's carried out consistently, I don't see how it'll alter the course of direction in the long-run...




On a separate note, if Evasive is willing to cover the full costs, I'm all for it!

Reality:

The solution is simple. MAKE A POSTER. Or more of these threads. They both are great ideas.

This game is dying because it is completely outdated. WoW took a lot of players and then XBox Live took the rest. A lot of the older players who got addicted early have left for real life things like families, college, careers, etc.

When game companies want to keep people playing their product they make a sequel that is up to date, they don't try to tinker with the old version. We will never see an up to date version of this.

Continuum became a niche game years ago and that niche is getting smaller and smaller. No amount of votes on random game ranking sites, posters or threads are going to change that.
