the above image doesn't explain how to truly sidethrust (topspeed horizontally while ship is 100% vertical)
what that image refers to is simple drifting
For the people who still dont know how to do it. Its quite simple and is somewhat effective dodging or confusing opponents at times. It is a bit tricky to have full control over though. Anyways heres how you do it, or atleast how i do it.
Suppose this arrow is the wb ship, start by having it point to the right: --->
Now zoom (using shift) in that direction and after u get to top speed (takes about 1 sec), Point the ship facing upwards as so:

Now, immediately start tapping the down and up arrows for about half a second each (one by one, not at the same time, starting with the down arrow). Your ship will be zooming sideways then. You can pretty much use your entire energy to zoom like this across the length of the dd map.
Hope that helps. If anybody has a better way, please correct me.

My question to all the vets is this. How do some of you players somehow weave your wb ship when dodging bullets and running away. It sounds very unclear and vague, but maybe some of the vets know what I am talking about. I have seen racka and others do this quite nicely.
I guess the real question is, how many fingers do you use to control the wb ship with?
The normal way to play is:
Up/down arrow: middle finger
left arrow: index finger
right arrow: ring finger
I suspect, the ship movement required to maneuver your ship like some of the vets do while running cannot be done using just 3 fingers. Probably needs 4 fingers (with the thumb getting involved and taking place of the down arrow key).
If any of you have any idea of what i am talking about lol, please shed some light on this. Thanks.

tilt your hand a bit on its right side and you will notice that you can use your index finger for the down arrow in tight situations, and tilt to the left and use your ring finger for down for the opposite.
you wont need to have control for the right key if you're turning left, and vice versa. It's an easy switch back and forth too.
