Starcraft 2 Custom Maps

It just occurred to me from looking at videos of some preliminary SC2 custom maps like this:

that you could recreate literally any TW arena and way more using this editor, and SC2 will certainly have a much larger playerbase than Continuum. I think you could even port in Continuum visuals and reproduce the control scheme perfectly if you wanted. Anybody else thinking of trying some remakes?

Well it sounds good honestly but then we come to the problem with that.

Continuum is Continuum.

Starcraft 2 is Starcraft 2.

Diablo2 is Diablo2.

People play continuum mainly for twd, if you want rts you play sc2 if you want rpg you play d2.. we all saw what distension did to tw.

That might be true now but traditionally events were always the life blood of TW, IMO. Lots of people bought WC3 exclusively for custom maps(see DotA) and lots more will for SC2 which can do basically anything with the editor now.

I just got into the beta SC2. It's basically the same game with souped up graphics and a few new units/tech.

It's still fun, i was playing starcraft til last summer.
