When was i a 12 year old jackass, I started playin when i was 23. Don't remember any posts when I flamed staff, I usually end every TWL season by thanking staff, even if I have a semi-feud against them like PH. I'm 30 now, getting a little tired of just playing, thought I'd help TW by being more involved in management for a couple years before I slip away into the future.

lena does not know every single event in SSCU Trench Wars. i'm not sure why you assume this is the case major, but the fact is that she doesn't know all of them. simply because she has a better knowledge of the events doesn't mean she's this awesome guru of knowledge. for the christ sake, you have been playing for 4 years. you can consider yourself lucky to be on staff. if you had started playing roughly 8 years ago, you would most likely not be part of staff due due to the current mentality that we have when recruiting players to staff.

here is the hard fact that no one wants to admit: if you were a jackass when you were 14 years old or younger, apparently there's no way you can become a staff. even if this happened several years ago, even over 8 years ago. even if you are now 20 years old, have matured up and showed the motivation that you want to help the players, if your past was terrible there's no way to become staff. that's how things roll these days, people ignore your current self and only look at the past. it's not like you are the same person anymore.

now what we should do is fix this retarded mentality that our deans and current staff seem to have at the moment. if a player is mature, knowledgeable and has shown the interest / motivation to help the zone, who are we to deny them from helping us? even if the guy was a jackass when he was 12 years old doesn't mean he is one now. people grow up, for christ sake. people just stop being jackasses when they mature (with the exception of a couple players). we should stop looking at peoples past so carefully, they're not the same person anymore. they aren't that same 12 year old brat that kept spamming "ez newbie go die in a fire" every time they got a kill in elim.

this is probably one of the several reasons why i am still hated by several (read as: half of trench wars) in a way or another. i was a jackass (okay, i still am a jackass) back in the days, even before i started playing in trench wars. there is only one single reason why i am staff right now, and that is because stargazer was the dean of staff at that given time and i was one of his friends in a chat of his. that's the cold fact that i have to admit, there is no way i would have been hired if it weren't for stargazer recruiting half of his chat(s) to staff. sure, most of his recruits have failed miserably, but he also managed to recruit some good staffers that still help players on a daily basis.

either way, i simply wouldn't have been recruited to staff due to my status that i have in trench wars. if i had not been recruited by stargazer over 2 years ago and today applied to become staff. what do you think their response would be? an outright no, that's what. that is because no one on staff would know me as a person, they would just go by what they've heard of me over the years and trust me, most of that stuff is pretty nasty.

@ vatican: when one sends a staff application from trenchwars.org, it's not really a voting system. rather, it's a system where we are meant to comment on the player, tell the deans whether the player is staff material or not. if he's not staff material, we are meant to tell the reason why. sure, there is a "yes", "no" and "not sure" buttons, but the real purpose of the applications is to comment on the player. a lot of people have forgot about this, and simply vote "no" without telling the reason. this should be changed, but doubt there will be a change anytime soon.

i wouldn't mind you on staff, i don't have any personal vendetta against you and am sure you would do a good job if you have the motivation to help the zone. unfortunately, most of the staff don't think this way, which is why you will (most likely) remain as a normal player for the rest of your trench wars career.

vatican wouldn't be a bad addition to staff yet people talk trash about him because of his past / based on his posts on the forums. i'd rather have him on staff than some of the current staffers we have at the moment. either way, lena is a good addition to staff and is willing to host a lot (+ is helpful) which is the type we need. plus she has pretty good knowledge of the events, not as wide as mine but still.. at least she'll probably do a better work than most of our current ERs.

jailbreak hasn't been hosted in quite a while, i give ya that. but there's probably like 80 other events that have been "forgotten" in the past couple of years. people tend to just host bug, hunt, fishies and other events like that, not much variation these days.

now that that has been said, i'm quitting staff soon enough. that's one player less ruining trench wars. :wub:
