New levi

I know I dont really play much anylonger so my input might not mean anything to anyone but Ive been online recently due to the upcoming holidays and for what it is worth I want to let you all know that I dont like the "new" levi.

New levi is the best thing about pub. An arena with specifically 1vs1 levi with pub bucks should be made because it is so much fun.

If the levi gets changed too much I will never play pub again(never did before these settings either) because I refuse to believe any other possible settings could be more fun.

I've always been biased against leviathans for their trigger happy antics around teammates, and these settings do nothing to stem the problem. In the overall picture of the TW concept, they are supposed to represent the artillery. Not they are anything but. They are mobile, resilient, and a greater thorn in your side than they ever were with the multiple entrance base layout. Worst of all, they should not be able to go toe to toe with any other ship piloted by someone with an ounce of aim.
Presently the motivation to play either shark or terrier is next to nil with the relentless onslaught endured by both ships primarily because of this enhanced threat. Either beef up those two defensive ships appropriately, or cull the levi as follows:

• Remove either their repel and/or portal.
• Reduce turn speed.
• Reduce overall speed.
• Increase their recharge or reduce the time affected by EMP. They should not be able to fire a second bomb in succession while victims of it's first shot are still immobilised.
• Remove team greening. It's redundant when a levi is able to escape spawn and use one of many passages to gain access to the base flying solo. Consider the variety of greens collected by teammates and that a levi benefits from four types of them. This bolsters them even further.

I understand Witness is responsible for public ship settings. Was he stoned at the time? Why was it even approved?

I tink it had something to do with.. we have eight ships in the game why do we constantly play with seven so that we can comfort the constant whining and complaining of a few basers who spend at most (before ?go base died and twbd went inactive) 20 minutes a day pubbing and still thought that they should be able to tell the pubbers what was best for them so that they could be groomed into proper basers which really backfired because that league is dead now because everyone was forced to base while they pubbed and so they all decided hey lets play some other league with different ships.

Most people generally like the levi in pub, and nobody likes a run on sentence but it was necessary here Rudy, seriously.

The new levi is totally broken for many reasons, if it wasn't for the buying function it might be balanced, but you can now buy triple packs of repel which gain you 3 bounty at a time, and i'm not sure if you can buy packs but if so that's 5 bounty coupled with the free greening from the team, and every time you run out of reps you can buy more from anywhere making lting worse than ever before.

it takes 3 shots to kill a levi in a warbird so they just tank 2 shots then repel 3 then warp using portal buy more repels while doing so, rocket away, buy more repels, and it can take up to a whole minute to kill them.

Totally broken, oh and they can buff their bombs up to basically old lev bombs aswell.

Don't get me wrong though these levs are just hard to kill but generally don't kill as much no more insanity splash bombs.

Why shouldn't it be powerful when you literally have to pay to use it effectively? Try playing it without !buy and you arent going to get very far at all. Not to mention its still extremely slow, rotates extremely slow, and people hunt you like no ones business.



And having to spend so much actually forces me to play pub in other ships, I doubt im the only one.

It was changed and kind of a test, it was originally just going to have l2 bombs(bomb gfx changed to look like l3), but with the !buy function you can upgrade it to l3bombs and thats made it something else entirely, It wasnt just me alot of people helped with what we were trying to get it too be like, but yeah i agree its time for some small tweaking.

Didnt find any other threads of levs, so this must be the right place.
Good job developement team! Slow lev is exaclty what was needed. Now there is maybe 1-2 levs in the total arena so they will be a suprise when found in base, but will be killed easily enough too. Just dont bring purepub back.

Levi is such crap now, just as it was 10 years ago. At least prior to this change I was able to defend myself with various tactics, but now it's just a waste of time.

But thanks for helping me realize EG still provides the fun it used to.

You can tell a ship is overpowered when there are huge numbers like 5 or 6 of them in play at any time.
