Steam is not willing to promote Continuum in any way so far, but PoLiX is determined to get a very large support group within Steam to help promote Continuum and hopefully change Steam producers' minds. A great way to help is to launch Continuum through Steam - they will look at stats like those. I run SS through Steam every time I play.

Ok, here a couple of my no good ideas 'bout how could this game get more active again. Not sure if any1 will agree but just read and think about it. thx.

1. After I've tried showing SS for my few friends, what I notice first they have no idea what's all this about, how use chats, PMs, change freqs, change areas, how to change ships and no clue what's the goal?!

This is my first post so i really haven't read all earlier posts here, but i saw a similar idea posted somewhere here already. It would be great if a new player would be first sent to some "?go Tutorial" area (I've got some ideas how that area should look) where he would get some basic knowledge how this game works and what u can do here... If its an aliased old timer he'll "?go 0" or w/e in few secs anyway (no1's hurt).

2. For Advertising the game. I tried to think of a way that wouldn't cost money, so here's an idea, it'll require time, know-how and labor but anyway (no clue if it wasn't posted somewhere already tho).

Pages like armorgames.com and similar has shit loads of people playing there, and even a crappiest game has a play count over 100.000. My idea was to make a Flash game copy of SS just for a single player. TW has shit loads of fun events I'm sure some of them might be adapted for a single player with few bots as other ships. Let's say there will be like 10 or 20 missions you'll have to complete (after u complete all elimination/deathmatch mode unlocks), like first u get a warbird and try to kill some shucks, 2nd mission u get a jav or a spid... well u get it, the game must be fun and also a guide how the original game works and what can some1 expect in SS. I think people here could really think up of some awesome missions (i got few ideas as well). Let's say 100.000 ppl will play that game and at least 1 out of 100 will actually DL and try SS game, it'll be 1000 new players that could get hooked up for even longer.

My few friends made few really simple (but original) games for Armorgames.com, they got payed 'bout 4000$ for a game (the amount varies) so the developers wont be doing stuff for free plus it'll be great chance to advertise SS and teach noobies 'bout the game.

There is a tutorial, they just need to type !tutorial in public chat. Furthermore, if they really are new, they should trigger Wing's bot to alert us <ZH>'s about a new player, and one of us will pm them saying welcome to tw, this is how you pm back, and if they don't answer just tell them about !tutorial and ?help if they need assistance. More often than not though new guys just ignore me, so maybe the system needs to be tweaked, I don't know.

also, if someone made a flash player client, there would probably be quite a few security holes, and even if someone managed to fix those, they would probably only be able to connect to an ASSS server, meaning tw would never see a direct population boost.

The flash game should be just a single player game with the basic features of SS. It shouldn't be a new online flash version of SS. A link in the menu of this flash game should redirect to the TW or other websites where some1 could actually download the real game.

You just need 3 or more people with some spare time on there hands to make the game engine, animations, sound etc... Well either way I'll give it a shot and ask my friends if they could take up this project, after they finish the new game they're working on.
