Its impossible because
any shot that does not come from the area between the red lines is going to hit the wall.
for example, the yellow line shot.
its so simple lol.

Because every tile is a SQUARE. How do i know its a square? count the pixels on paint or if you are more curious download "tileedit" at http://www.trenchwars.org/index.php?v=downloads and look at it.
its a square 16x16
the diagonals of a square are 45 degress from the base. these are the limits lines. the red lines that I draw.
So for the shots to go through a one tile hole, it necessarily has to be inclinated 45 degress or more from a horizontal line.
you guys said before its 7x6 tiles.
but if you count the tiles, including the empty spaces, its 10x9.
so... the line that you just draw is about...hmm... lets open the calculator...
tangent a = 9/10 = 0,9 .... so a = aprox. 41,99 degrees
its less than 45 degress, so its impossible.Mega Newbie

im showing math at its simplest here ...
the only way a bomb will make a curve in this game is if theres a wormhole. In this case maybe it can be possible , but thats not the case here.
anyway, thats it. gonna stop posting here.
if you guys want to go to this ?go javs arena and try some hours to make this impossible shot, then do it. I don't care.... good luck.Mega Newbie

Yeah but some shit on this game is like magic cornelius, Dock and Priitk swore till they retired that using a "rock shot" in a warbird doesn't make the bullet go faster, they said it was impossible and there was no such code in that game that would allow a shot to be faster. But I guarantee rock shots do go faster, sometimes you see shots that are fast a fuck.Rabble Rabble Rabble

I think that this all have to do with perspective. That of the person seeing the bullet hit or fly by and that of the person firing the bullet. Not only does perspective have to do with it but the actual speed of the ships involved will play a role in the actual speed of the bullet and how fast the bullet is portrayed to be going. When I tested this (yes I tested this in ?go deathmatch), I (or a third party) observed the bullets in these scenarios: 1) Both ships flying in same direction and shooting. 2) Flying in same direction; one shooting off a rock. 3) One standing still shooting in same direction as other shooting off rock. The player in spec had observed that the speeds are similar when both ships were at least moving forward as they fired a bullet and any interaction with another object after firing the bullet had no affect.
Keeping in mind that none of us were at the receiving end of the bullets as they passed by to be able to observe that perspective but we also considered that if the player who saw the bullets pass by were standing still, the bullets would appear to move faster as opposed to if they were running away and the bullets gave chase. We also made consideration of lag playing a factor where a player may possibly trick the server into thinking that they are still thrusting forward as they released the bullet. This would then send the packets to the other players as a faster looking bullet but that's only relative to the players seeing it and whether they're moving with the bullet or standing still. In conclusion, there was nothing that lead us to believe that the bullets were moving faster than they actually can if you used a rock as leverage and that the only variable was our own perspective when moving at certain speeds relative to the bullet in question.

I don't have any real scientific evidence to the contrary but there are also certain circumstances that have to be met, the timing you shoot on the rock has to be pretty well timed in order to make a shot faster. But I would have to disagree with you, sometimes shots are just faster than other shots.Rabble Rabble Rabble
