  • Money Events

A lot of the past money events that I have attended were won by "vets".
Are the money events not missing their goal if people like turban (no offence, consider it a compliment) keep winning the money?

I think the effect of money events will be optimalized more if some of the following options were applied:
    - Money doesnt all go to MVP (maybe 1/20 money events...if you must...).
    - (Maybe) $0,05 or so for each active/not screwing up on purpose player on winning team?
    - Or even maybe $0,01 for just playing ^ without even having to win.
    - Maybe (a bit of a) bonus for mvp('s; implying top 5 or so...if you must...).
    - Very important: people being able to "cash out" at >$15 or so.

Seemed like very considerable options to me...but perhaps you guys disagree with me.
I just exampled the amounts...I do realize you guys know best which $ amounts would be the best to use (maybe allow slower/faster build up or change the amount after a while).

I think this way "new people" get stimulated more to play this game (and actually come back, instead of watching all the vets go away with the money).

Just my opinion: let me know what you guys think.

Edit: I think adverting with "earn easy money by playing ..." is not used too much yet

I agree it can sort of ruin the fun knowing that you have no chance to win, but making a really complicated system for cash distribution is just going to crash and burn. I think that cash to the MVP and the last-standing might be a better way to go.

This whole thing would be less of an issue if cash events were not so often DM/elim events. Money to the last man standing in a zombie-clone event, or a game like conquer or killer would be more of a free-for-all. But it stands to reason that the veteran players are just better at the game.

I'm still waiting for my $25 ?go balanceout event.

I really like the idea of building up "credits" that you can cash in later once you hit a set amount. It's an interesting concept for sure. If we can think of a way to simplify it and make it work, I think your idea would bring great results. You should write up a little bit more detail on exactly what your looking for and your plan on how it should be implemented. We can then go from there to see if it's a viable option.
