Larger games such as Everquest have talked about this... and in fact, selling only names is illegal, because you don't own the property or data in the first place. Most people make something up -- like they're selling a penny or something -- but you get a name/character with that for free. Then it's legalized. Just fyi for you lit... the cops are after you because you're selling names illegally on a little dinky free online game. Run while you still can.

People really should be restricted in the amount of names they can have. Name whores have lists and lists of names they NEVER use and only have them so they can have a list of names and maybe trade for a different list of names. Some of these people are notorious like COT before he did TW a favor and dissapeared. Now what is the point of all that?

In fact, this could be turned into a nice little fund raising scheme for Dock and Priitk.
Anyone gets to own a maximum of three(3) names for free, past three names there is a monthly charge. It wouldnt have to be complex, just the same info used by bang to keep track of the people. Bang could be modified to keep an ID on each unique computer and instead of keeping the person out of the game, just keep track each name on logon. 3 names per ID are allowed, anything more than that without having paid some money ( a banfree to keep the analogy going )

There we go, if you want to continue name whoring you have to pay out of your own pocket. Priitk gets loaded and no more need for a guy named Azn_IRoxorYou_IHadToPickThisNameBecauseAllTheOther sWereTaken2525
because a lot more names would be freed up.
