Ok answers:
Advertising was done on 420chan because they gave us the best price, reasonable exposure, and since our advertising is still in the testing phase, we didn't want to take chances with large investments only to see limited results. However, as soon as more information about the results of advertising (which means more time) comes in, we will advertise more. So basically, patience. The next update should have more information concerning the results.
As for the new player graphic, that's based on if staff judges the newbie to be genuinely new. Basically, as a call comes in about a new player, the number goes up one. If any staffer decides their false, the number will go back down after a quick command. So no, aliases (hopefully) aren't included.
And the final question i noticed, about returning newbies... Again this is still in development stages. The tracking is being worked on, as well as ways to check what makes the newbie want to come back and informing staff on this.
Most of my answers were "wait until next time." I'd just like to clarify for any doubters out there: I say that because this is brand new stuff. Like some of the tracking 24 has shown me is only a few days old. More time is needed before we can get reliable numbers. I hope this has answered your questions...
