huh? are you serious? have you mistaken me for someone else? what actions and what legal consequences? i haven't done anything i shouldnt have been doing - besides trolling. were you the one to ban me? is there someone specifically i can talk to directly about thsi? somethign strange has happened here.

i saw a person who likes to troll on weird things and i implored that person in pubchat to contact me to trade child porn collections, joking at how utterly casual my relationship to child-porn truly was, with a sly implication of unsophositication on the part of the co-conspirator. get it? i mean, just because you ask to trade child porn doesn't actually mean you want to trade child porn. maybe im a cop trying to bait the pedophile as he offers to trade me his "jailbait ex-girlfriends", blackmail him and turn him into a double agent. i mean, come on, right? i undersatnd there is a social order here and some of you probably have children, and you probably dont want someone offering to trade child-porn on your computer game, i understand that, but i was a pubchat regular for ages and, well, i think its all a bit ridiculous. i mean, do you serious think im actually a pedophile or was this more likely an old-fashioned knee-slapping child-porn subspace trolling spree!? from a one line comment ive been told to take a seat on the bench for one year or more ... its been already maybe six months, enough already? or was this topic just too sensitive for stimuli, and i should just accept this ban, put my tail between my legs and forget about hte spaceships, because thats fine too, subspace sort of has a totally unfun feeling about it now anyway ...

Well they will unban u if u tell them ur not gonna say something that silly again and that u didnt mean it. There are people that get arrested all the time for giving child porn pictures so if you said that u are willing to give these pics away- staff have no choice even if u weren't intending to because if you were genuine and police get involved- they would certainly question why didn't he get banned str8 away? And staff would be questioned/ game would be forced to end/ stay perm offline.

It's like going to an airport and u tell people you have a bomb in ur luggage- even if you haven't u will get arrested for the airports protection. They banned u to protect the game.

thats fine, thats fine. fair enough. i have said sorry and tried to explain, insisting it is sick joke and i did not mean it. i am sorry for people who didnt get it, and im definately sorry to people who still find it offensive. it was very silly comment i was just farting around for attention.


i imagined child porn was a worthy area for jokes, because jokes are usually an attempt to elicit emotional responses on the part of the joke-receiver, and child porn isnt really a target for derision, given pedophiles shred through an innocent childs life just to get it up for their own sick pleasure. the more dangerous the subject, potentially the better the joke is. but obviosuly in thi scase it didn't work well. but i certainly did get control of someones endocrine system, i certainly had someone vehemently disgusted, didn't i. i'd have to consider this a successful joke on that fact alone. you're not going to laugh at it, but it gets peoples endocrine system going and attracts this kind of terse dialogue. its just a few words, but all kinds of responses are going on from human beings who really really really dont liek it - how the f**k can you say that? what the f**? all the while underneath the humour is the chilling prospect that he may or may not be a pedo. its like, wouldn't it be funny if, like, some random child got raped? like, if the child got raped repeatedly and the images got shared on the internet? wouldnt that be funny?


now i wouldnt normally ask questions liek that, so the question becomes, is that a joke? is it rhetorical? is it some form of commentary? i have no idea what it is. i assume the answer would be, "no it would not be funny if that happened to a child, and it wouldnt be funny to watch it happen either." its just such a shocking thing to say, people dont know how to react because how could anyone say anything so inappropriate and wrong? but i just did and thats why its CRAZY and/or possible HILARIOUS.


i think, though, if somebody was to say to me they were going to joke about child porn, i would tell them they might as well joke about killing puppies because its not going to work. it just doesnt work. they will be mad at you. the truth is, deep down we all have the perverse need to be liked. so its interesting to consider that too as part of my motivation, when i considered child porno as funny enough to joke about, that i was just seeking approval, and wanted to make people pay attention to me. i made a joke about trading child porn because i wanted everyone in the chatroom to like me. i wanted them to be on my side. but unfortunately given the swift ban and the resulting outcry, id say the joke was, at best, context-dependent.


lets examine the core topic of child rape for a moment, which is at the crux of the issue of child pornography. its an uncomfortable subject for everyone; child rape. mostly for parents. people turn red quickly when you bring up the subject. which normally wouldnt bother me normally from the point of view of attempting a joke, but it also turns out people also hav ea hard time processing the humour when they feel like there is some possibility that you're serious. "how can you even joke about child rape?", "well, its not that hard, the only hard part is that you have to keep thrusting after the kid start screaming."


is that funny? no. it trivialises the rape of a child, which isnt funny under any circumstances. but it might make people laugh. why? for one thing, we're talking about child rape, which is a very heavy topic, and which is also a very fraught subject matter on the parent. the trauma-charged atmosphere of this leaves people primed for some sort of cathartic payoff. the joke about rape breaks the tension. and since we're only hypotehtically raping the child, i dont feel badly about it. we're doing it for fun and games, and because there are people in our society who for some reason think its OK to rape children - i cant imagine how that behaviour would get normalised in a persons brain, can you? its crazy.


so anyway, im not especially proud of the child-porn joke i made. its more sick than funny, it works on shock. but i stand by it, because there was a troll-worthy audience there as i saw it at the time and i guess i just felt the need to blurt something dumb about child porno for whatever reason. i mean, i dont make a habit of asking people to trade child porno normally. because, apart form the hypothetical and real child rapists out there, i think that children are OK, and i dont see the point in raping them - in real life or in make-believe land - just to get laughs from others. who needs laughs that badly?

actually, maybe it would. in the current controversy, it would be something of an interesting legal case for myself to claim a legal right to make jokes about wanting to trade child pornography in an online game. but of course this would be disingenous, since 1) no cops have called around to arrest me, and 2) free speech gives me the right to say stupid and offensvie things to people no matter what - as long as i'm not directly inciting people to committ actual rape, i am free to say whatever i want on that subject.


of course the game mods here are free to ban me from their game for doing so, and they have done so decisively. and if i was anywhere else online or in the real world, i would probably foster some pretty hostile responses to comments like that too. so im sure not many people are going to leap to my defence to say, yep, he's made some good arguments, its potentially fair enough that he was banned for a while - but judging from these comments, and given that he has the right to type what he wants, even to say something deliberately unfunny hurtful and dispicable about child pornography, but to suffer no consequences whatsoever for it from the community? that would be unfair. so i iwll triumphantly take this ban.


anyway thisi s a mess of a post, i will not pursue this matter further. i am sincerely and utterly embarrassed that i spoke these outrageous comments, the fact remains i misjudged the social forces at play and wasnt aware enough to construe the resulting conseuqneces of my silly comment, so i have no one else to blame but myself but im not going to waste any more time explaining this, i'll just point out the 1.5 year ban and flaunt it, and hope that maybe some mod might cut that down for me. but if not, maybe i will coem back for a visit again in a year? if the game is still running... but im gonna fuck off for now.
