There's no reason to ban LTs, since LTs weren't a big threat when the levi bomb was weaker. There were fewer LTs because the griefers didn't get their fill of game-ruining-fun with the weaker bomb, and the LTs that existed weren't that dangerous. Also, the main frequencies might use LTs to attack or defend the base. There's no need to remove the levi, just weaken it so it doesn't ruin the game.

I already knew WingZero was an idiot, but now we can see he's also a complete piece of shit. No surprises there. At this point, I'm surprised when a mod ISN'T one.

Oh yeah, if the mods weren't retards, they would have given people more time to spend their pub bux. Now I'm going to have 2 million wiped because there really isn't anything to buy. Either it's something useless or someone has already bought it and I have to wait 10 minutes. I'm gonna take a break from this game. It's not fun playing when everyone is buying roof turret and flag saver and flagroom terr and epidemic non-stop because their pub bux are going bye bye in three days. It's also not fun to get blasted by private frequency LTs operated by mods who claim "the poll told me to do it" while at the same time waxing high and mighty about their leadership abilities. It's not fun being unable to hunt the LTs because they buy the roof turret so they can't be attacked and to lose antiwarp while trying to catch them as they run. And most of all, the fucking mods and their "I own this place" attitude make me sick to my stomach. There are so many other games to play (something the majority of the players this game used to have found out a long time ago), so I don't have to put up with this bullshit. I am so glad I never gave in to my impulse to donate money out of concern that Continuum will go offline. At this point, it might as well. The mods would have likely bought themselves alcohol and drugs with the money anyway.

It's time for this game to move to private servers hosted by others. That's the only way to save it. The mods on the current server are incapable of reversing its decline, only of hastening it. We don't really need to bother with licences and permissions, since it's not like any of these deadbeats have any money to sue us with.

Izor, I don't agree with what you did, however at the time you did it, it certainly was not illegal as I would suggest it wasn't something considered, I know I certainly didn't write a rule for that specific scenario. Assuming this is fixed, ie. you cant use in spawn, then this ban is now irrelevant in my eyes.

I will keep my personal opinion on if I think it should be a ban or not to myself for the time being, as I don't intend to create a xx ban but sysop disagree's style argument to spam out forums at this point.

I dont see this as a positive change, as lts are now safe to escape through a large section of pub when being chased.

If the !buy system ever gets removed and ISNT replaced with the old ?buy system, and lt's arent kept in check, then I will simply stop playing pub, and so will everyone else. Unlike me though, most people don't have enough other reasons to log on, and will just quit.

In regards to the ban itself... I don't feel any sort of formal punishment was needed for something so trivial and well within the rules, but staff has a system in place to avoid such silly bans. Why was banC circumvented entirely when a simple !speclock for 10 minutes would have solved the issue and gotten your point across? If he continued after the 10 minutes then make it 12 hours until left can log on and address it herself. Instead you lost a desperately needed player for 24 hours, created yet another shitstorm for staff and influenced a rule change that absolutely nobody wanted in the first place, thus making krynetix look as retarded as you by forcing him to react to your lack of tactfulness.

Izor, I don't really like him but the ban was bullshit because the action itself isn't really enforcable, and now that the bot will remove AW in spawn, LTs have free reign there. You can't really say whether or not someone is using AW in spawn to hunt LTs or or whatever reason.

Lefty, I really like you, but as head ban op, you should have seen that attempting to enforce something like this was totally misguided.

Krynetix, I think he's still good, although I disagree with him on the LT front, I don't think he's the catalyst for this.

Now I haven't played the game for a few months and I don't plan to come back while the old levs are here. The new levs were amazing. For the first time I felt that the levs actually had a use in a team strategy, instead of a priv/noob FR wiper. There were no problems with LTs because levs actually needed strategy to deploy effectively: they were an integral part of both attacking and defending teams, without being completely removed from the fight by riding on a terr everywhere. But now that you can't chase LTs through spawn, they are even more retardedly overpowered. I just can't play the game anymore now that I know that levs can actually have a legitimate purpose, but they don't anymore.
