with low populations schedules tend to work really well, especially if they are put in a visible place so people know when to show up, but the key to success is consistency

Would be a way to have people look forward to something, assemble for it and stop staffs and autohosting from ripping the zone apart and killing the active population by spreading it thin with random stuff for 5 players.

Or maybe signups for a dedicated LONG hosted event. Such as, a week ahead of time, isntead of just saying "will be hosted sunday 4pm", have signups for a 1 hour event. This way you can measure the response. If under 70 sign up for the event(s) that are at least 1 hour.

If you host games like Warzone or WW3, appoint strong leaders to each team to minimize people from leaving.

If you host zombies, do a marathon of 5 arenas back to back so those who sign up get their money's worth etc. But make it clear those that sign up must stay for all games etc.

I think most TW players who sign up and go out of their way will show up. And you can have a full, big game thats reliable imo.

    IDK worth a shot.

If we assume that we always want pub healthy and I would say that given the current population the zone can support one additional thing running at the same time.

TWD appears to be greatly suffering at this point. TWBDs are way, way down. TWJD and TWDD seem to be holding their own but only because squad can play them with fewer players online.

Some may say that TWL has had an impact but others might argue that TWL actually is bringing more players into zone for TWDs. And as we all know we are headed into the time of year when the population drops off.

So are we willing to have this discussion yet or are we going to keep pretending that there is nothing wrong with trying to run TWD/TWL/TWDT, events, and pub all simultaneously? If we aren’t willing to have this discussion now is there some point where we should talk about it? If so, when?

Perhaps TWD shouldn’t be run 24/7/365? Perhaps a plan to better organize/schedule things so players can be online when the things they enjoy are running? Would consolidating some things and not spreading the zone’s population so thin keep it healthier?

And finally, if the new Council made a decision like this would they be able to get it done or would either of you override it?
Thanks in advance for your feedback

Edit: To clarify the question about the Council. If the Council decided to make a strategic change it is possible that some players would not be happy. They will, of course, run to you and start bitching. If the Council makes these kinds of decisions will you be supporting the Council or will you be willing to go out and try to sell the decision and get players buy-in?

Popluation has to stabalize and expand at this point, but at least stabalize. Im not even joking when I say this but it wouldnt hurt if some of the higher ups or those loyal to the game start passing out mass produced fliers or pinning them up in libraries or something where kids go.

Im convinced that TW/SS could get like 2000 new players but the problem is retaining them and getting them to want to try and get use to controls. It took me like 12 months to get use to it. Plus nobody understands that TW/SS is mostly a social outlet. Most people don't play it for the game itself really, but the chat/connection feature lets you kill time having a lot of fun in arenas. Ie, some people play WoW or other games mostly for the social atmosphere. People think TW probably has no chat and is boring etc.

I think consolidating zones is important. Take all remaining zones, consolidate remaining players, and put arenas of extreme games or other arenas all in one platform so all players log in via one main arena first to boost population maybe.

Unban people over 6 months who can be watched and don't represent a major threat.

Continue to try and put the TW platform on game outlets. So the steam thing failed, try some other outlets for free advertising. Start writing into these outlets to try a partnership.

Try to redesign/update TW/SS if at all possible if any developers can help as a charity aspect. Probably very unlikely but it hasnt been updated in like 15 years so.. worth a shot.

TWL/TWD/TWBD are irrelevant to player growth/stabalization. Focus on events/pub to lure/stabalize players. TWD's will continue to suffer from monopolizing talent, possible connection exploting/cheating in the game, and lack of any real leadership in squads outside of the monopolized top 4 or so. Given population this isnt surprising either.

Add cheaper, more fun items to the !buy list. Don't add items that would disrupt basing too much or if you do (like thors) just put cooldowns on them, but right now its absurd to have 50k/100k items for sale that would take 1 month to earn for a 5 second fireworks. Its a stupid designed economy, and needs better more fun items, like multi-decoy to have fun. Since you usually reset money every year or so anyway, make it easy for people to have fun with !buy items and lure people wanting to do that. Its stupid to price things too high.
