Pub I understand needs to be set right and there is a need to keep pubbers happy, but I just don't know why we've worked almost exclusively on Public for years now. No other league has changed beyond Public, and in my opinion, that's one of the reasons for the hugely declining population. The core base of this game remains the people who've played since they were kids, and none of us really play public. I just never understood the mindset that public is the one thing that matters, when public is the one thing that the core playerbase doesn't play. You're working toward retaining new players, gaining very few, and losing the veterans.

I think you got something wrong here. There was never exclusive work to pub. It was just a place looked down on from staffs who mainly consisted of league players, so heads of pubs were allowed to put in the weirdest things and play with settings to their liking (often inspired by twd-only player suggestions), making it a dev playground. A lot of this will now be reversed and hopefully get repaired.
If you look at handling of cheater calls in the past, many staffs totally ignored stuff coming from pub, while instantly jumping to twd stuff. We have own staffs for leagues, but not pub, which is and has always been the most visited place on the game. Some staffers after months still did not know that the lev bomb is a disguised L2 one, not L3, or how to use the bots to duel and so on. It was treated as staff's stepchild for way too long now, and sadly the main reason is people who seriously believe a subarena of the game is some kind of #1 reason TW exists.

We have a wide variety of people, which consists of pubbers, event people, league people, never out of spec people and many more and only together, with all the aspects that made TW a fun place for such a variety of folks, do we have a chance to go on. First steps in that direction are taken, zoner messages from TWD or pub duels are already in place and more is supposed to follow. While we might not all like to play every arena or setting, there is absolutely no reason to request priority for just one and cooperation should be the #1 goal.

Even if they reversed all the new features\ removed pub bux- fixed pub... Still gonna be a boring pub . I wish i could get hooked to it but theres nothing to achieve. Wheres the incentive for me to play pub? Maybe its just me but other people really love pub at its basic form???? If you say yes, do you like pub still when there's 1- 6 people playing it or would you log out\ be afk while waiting for more players to enter? What would make you play pub regardless of population size playing in pub?

lol mb because i was a little drunk and defensive.... but yeah, the point of pub is self-explanatory, really there is "no point" other than capture the flag / kill the baddies

but now that im a little more sober, i actually think you have a point here - for instance, it would be neat to see a way to implement rewards for squads that priv freq, like if there's more than 4 players on a priv freq all on the same squad, bot would increase their earnings by a factor of 1.5. it would encourage squads to pub when nothing else was going on, and it might encourage pubbies to get interesting in joining one of these squads for the pubbing bonuses. i dunno!!

Honestly, I don't have much against Azov except for his obvious love for power and the way he talks to players, which is far too politician like rather than as a peer or a friend. Friends don't talk the way he does, and nobody at all likes a politician, not even themselves.

Bring the old public map back (map before BoKi's ?go boki). There was no brick put in the tubes etc. Year was 2003 or something? A lot of old players loved that map. That map BoKi made was still okey
(levterrs hated it for some reason, heh). At least I did, well I became a base terr after that and I was pretty good at it. Anyway, bring back the old map, it was pretty good for having fun. Current
public map isn't. I don't like playing elim and events all the time, it's not that fun. I enjoy playing pub, and if the public map is not good, people will stop playing, they leave Subspace/Continuum for other games. :/
