Customizing your keyboard settings

I'm not talking about just you, though this is the latest example. There are lots of other ones out there.

And it IS a way of asserting one's presence as being higher than another's.

But theres a major problem with this layout: if you lost your fingers positions, you have to either:

Look at your keyboard to replace your fingers. In the meantime, you can be attacked.

Try to figure out by yourself without looking. It takes time, tho :/

So heres a vital hint: move your W/A/S/D layout to use R/D/F/G.

um, i didn't want your opinon~! lol. But if you are a hardcore fsp player, then the WASD controls are second nature to you, and your fingers go to them automatically. so that isn't the problem. but the flaw from it that you have to get use to is the fact that its in your typing range, so you better goddamn know what your pressing because once you press a key other than those, SS puts you into typing mode and when you don't press enter or delte then presseing WASD will be "WASD" lol. i've gotten use to this and i find it more useful though because i can remap all my controls to the other keys surrounding the WASD. i played with default for 2 yrs, then started getting hand cramps lol.

Its hard to press press 0 (BFG whore :eek: ), when you use the WASD controls. Its not yet easy with RDFG, but at least you can access rightmost weapons easily.

Besides, that old thread was about how do you place your fingers on the keyboard, and not about changing default settings (this thread), thats different

I use a Microsoft natural elite kb, and these are kinda tailored for that layout and terring.

Attach - `
Drop Portal - spacebar
Burst - Delete

You did not read the old thread if you say it's only about fingering. Many ppl posted up their key changes AS WELL AS fingerings.

I play with a god damn gamepad !!! right now its a Gravis GamePad Pro (aka P.O.S.) cost about $7.99 and it is my 5th one since I've started playing SS, and I pretty much only use my gamepad for SS which is really sad... previous gamepads have been; 1st-gravis 2nd-interact propad 3rd-old sidewinder 4th-newer sidewinder pro something

i liked the newer sidewinder the best because of its features... i need a new one btw

Fully. The only problem I have is when I'm sharking in base. It's hard to Shift-Ctrl to save your terrier from onslaught when its two buttons.
