The game is definately way too long.. we played a game that lasted over an hour. The big ships are too slow and the recharge on the turrets is too slow - once your ship died, you were stuck unable to move. In our game, I spent about 20-30 minutes sittin out in the water unable to attach because of these stupid swarms of planes that kept shooting at me (but only once in those 20-30 minutes did they actually manage to kill me).

Battleship was pretty boring in fact for me. I was playing as the carrier and boy was it SLOW! Very difficult to maneuver and it quickly lost my interest in 10 seconds.
I guess it really depends on what you play as. The arena itself and the other ships are fine, but the carrier gave me a bad experience.
