lancasters

lancasters have little purpose in trench wars. they are not very good for basing or almost any other uses. they are mainly used by newer players becuase they require less accuracy to kill other ships. though some experienced players use them they can do little but fly around in the spawn area and kill stuff.

the lancaster needs to be revitalived and i have a good idea how: it could be given anitwarp when it spawns. the anitwarp would have a slight energy drain so it could not be left on too long. this would give lancs a purpose in the base, where they could kill the terrier by preventing it from warping. it would also help solve a serious problems with pubs, the leviterr. a lanc could put on antiwarp and prevent lts from escaping, and then shoot the lt. this will help solve the leviterr plague and give the lancaster a real purpose in trench wars.

or just give the lancaster the ability to attach ships. Therefore Lts wouldnt just be leviterrs but also Lancsterrs.

When weasel change occured, lancs were given an x-radar, and thus were an effective anti - x ship...why did they take it away from them is a mystery

Poop is on a crusade to change every ship in TW.

I can get a 60+ bounty on a private freq in base in lanc. If you ask me the ship is fine, it's the perfect ship to vulch with.

lancasters are specifically designed for the newer players because they are easy to control and you can make hit and run kills with them. If they were changed, what ship would new people start on?

This is why you are not able to edit the ships.

I'm in agreement with poop juice. The lancasters really do need some sort of upgrade as they truly outbeaten by pretty much every other ship. It's turning and maneuverability is as sad as a spider, it's shot time takes forever, and the reload time is horrible. A warbird can blow a lancs to smitereens. :P

Although the lancaster does have a wide-spread shot, it still does not make much of a difference as this is only effective in close range. From a distance, any ship could take it out. Maybe lancasters could be given a secondary weapon of some sort... Or possibly some other equipment that will enhance it's playability.

1) wb - dueler, for open spaces

2) jav - baser, for inside the flagroom

3) spider - multipurpose actually

4) levi - mass destruction, fits in everywhere on a terr except big open spaces

5) terr - baser, for delivering the troops

6) x - i'm not sure

7) lanc - baser, for inside the whole base AND for open spaces

with the modifactions i am suggesting the lanc could still be a good newbie ship. the only thing changed is it has antiwarp. the lanc would still be as good as before but now it would have a real role in basing and would help kill leviterrs
