...what would it be in Trench Wars? I think a good ship would be a fusion between javelin and shark. a 1 bounce L1 emp bomb which travels as fast as the jav bomb, and no other weapons. EMP bomb's blast radius usually freezes ships for about a second or two so i think that'll make the strategy in TW more interesting.

Isn't the balance pretty good the way it is? You don't really need a fusion betwee a jav and a shark, because if you had a ship with a 1 bounce level one bomb, WITH emp, you're essentially replacing the jav, and just removing its bullets and rocket.5:royst> i was junior athlete of the year in my school! then i got a girlfriend

oh good, another opportunity for me to preach about levis. anyways, i dont wanna think about a 9th ship, I think we should take an idea for a new ship and sub it in for the levi. after hours and hours more of pubbing the same thing is apparent to me as before. that levis are more parasitic than ever. every time i die by one as i base i feel gyped.. because i got killed by someone who did not deserve it. by someone who has not been in there trying to perfect skills as long as i have, someone with much lesser ability. you may say that this happens with every ship but the way i see it, that is ok because this is trenchwars and you gotta face the fact that newbies are gonna kill you, and you are gonna kill people who you are a newbie in comparison to. but all a levi has to do to kill me is lob a bomb at a wall. and it really does ruin basing.
now i know that some people dont mind this. others like to levterr. and others like to base without having to be pummeled by some outside force not even interested in taking base, only interested in getting as much bounty as possible before dying. dont tell me to hunt this person. dont tell me to put a smile on my face and say 'the levi is PART of trenchwars!' and dont tell me to stop complaining about it cause i wont. and especially dont tell me to type ?go basing, get real. there are only two ways for the people like me to play this zone's pubs the real way. one is to axe the levi or change it completely. the other and much more realistic is to give us our much desired pure pubs to go along with the normal pubs. i made a post on this earlier, and not a single person who could have made this happen or helped greatly in making this happen replied. and i think it could happen very easily perhaps with a bot. it may require a bit of thought but in the end tw will be improved... not only for people who share my views but for everyone. who said the LTs dont like to base too? everyone benefits.Last edited by za gophar; 08-23-2003, 09:36 PM.Ripper>cant pee with a hard on

i admit it kinda sucks being wall bombed. But pure pubbing is a bit boring, cuz 90% of the ships are just bulleters (i made up that one)... But i still think my idea is pretty good, and i guess we can replace levi with it. A ship that siphons Energy, but doesnt kill and causes the nme ship to be unable to shoot, basically like a never ending emp, but it can be cured by reps and obstructions, it basically deploys a straight lined fire, you have to follow it around, if obstructions get in the way it loses the fire.

a ship with 1 bomb that could whipe out the entire base. It takes bout 1hr for it to recharge, and if it dies, that freq loses it for 1hr =PEx-TW Dev / ER (Event Ref) / ER (Elim Ref)
