Is it hard to implement the following?

    - an personal editable squad group message. Quite handy. Of course with squadmembers being able to enable/disable the option to recieve messages.

    - a personal editable squad group captain (or assistants too?) message.

Can it, or another worthless idea to help the comminuty? =) (come on, notice the smiley)

Type ":#squadname: message" to send a message to a squad.

I think he means like the ?message <player>:<message> option. So it would be like-

      ?squadmessage <squad>:<message>

It would have to be upgraded into continuum though, so it would have to wait for a complete overhaul, i.e. .40

Make a macro set and then just go through your function keys uber quick.

I had suggested this before... a ?message <squad> type thing, no headway on it yet, and I'm sure it's on the bottom of their list, if on it at all.

Something like a squad "Message of the day" you get everytime you log on as a member of that squad. The message stays the same everyday unless the squad-owner wishes to update it.

Would be useful for squad management.. to mention league/prac game times, member recruit/kick notices, squad rules, or whatever someone can imagine useful.

Doubt anything like this would come soon, programmable bot stuff is much more likely.

You know what'd be an even better function?

If you can find out all the squads that you own.

Don't make up so many squads, how about that one?

Why don't we turn SS into our daily personal planner?

and gophar, ya..i mentioned that one too:P

Along with messaging as many squads as you want, lets add the functionality of messaging everyone in the arena, or better as many arenas as you want. Or messaging everyone in TW at the same time. That would be great because I like the idea of making everyone's computer *beep* at the same time.

i think you mistaken this subject with trash talk area. this one is for idea's. i dont think these idea's are that unreasonable geekbot.. why?
                        - a player should recieves a one time "beep" if he wiches to be added to the squadlist. a "no" will refrain him for futher messages. also an ?ignore would per definition exclude messages from a player.
                        - the !spam option is disabled in trenchwars (existing function of bots) because staff "doesn't want newbies in wbduel/ javduel".

                        anyways,

a ?squadmessage is also very handy, especially when you remove/kick players so you can
                        ?squadmessage:new chat = ..
or ?squadmessagerac on wednesday at .. time ... or whatever use
if i remember correctly this was in use a few years ago?

                          idea...

I like the idea that nockm had about the squad news when you login. I also would like to bring up the bug (not really a bug but it should be) in continuum with the Squad messages (#) and Private messages being the same color and there isn't an indicator of some sort to determine which is which.

                          Do these:

                          1) Impliment Nockm's idea cause it's elite just like him.

Something like a squad "Message of the day" you get everytime you log on as a member of that squad. The message stays the same everyday unless the squad-owner wishes to update it.
                          2) Change the color of squad messages (#) or atleast put an indicator like a '#' next to the guys name.

                          Example
                          (#Pio)>Testing 1233333333333333
                          ^ indicator method
                          (Pio)>Testing 1233333333333333
                          ^ color method

                          Later,

                          Pio

I've been thinking of the ?squadmessage thingy too. It'd be very useful since many people don't read the forums at all. Changing chat, telling members about scheduled games and such are pain in the ass now.. ?squadmessage would make it a lot easier. Maybe to avoid spam, you could only ?squadmessage your own squad?
