New events

TW hasn't seen too many new events lately, so I was just
wondering if you would have any cool and original ideas for
an event that you would like to share with us.

I know the smods are always working on something new but
you guys could be of help

Give us some ideas and maybe someday we'll take the events
further if they seem to have what it takes

They don't have to be league related and today, with bots, we
are able to do almost anything. Thanks to Dock> and the whole
TWDev group.

I say something like Gatez but not laggy! Some kind of mixed DM / JAVS, Some kind of hillpeace but in wb / jav style! and a lot more!

I remember reading something that had wbduel, but in a base. Not as tightly walled in as javs, giving more movement and freedom, but it'd be like giving the players some minimal cover.

I'd like to see an arena kinda like ?go wbduel but the actual playing area the size of ?go warpwars.

It would be 5vs5 and you can use either Warbird, Spider or Lancaster, with lots of obstacles/walls like a battleground.

Play modes could either be straight 10deaths and you're out, or a center flag that gives extra points the same as ?go base.

Basically a kind of cross between dueling & basing. Fighters but in a close-combat situation.

Call it something like ?go skirmish, unless that name is already taken.

how about robowars? every player gets a bot he/she can control from spec. if you kill an nmy bot you gain control over it and after some time you should have your own army of minions.

the bots would have to move quite slow and stuff but it could work as long as the bandwith allows it. you prolly host them on some other servers i duno...
the bots could also run on the clientside! so you could even customize them. yet you have to find a way that doesnt allow real players to pretend to be bots. should be easy enough

you would control it just like any other bot by chatline commands like:
/10 left
/fire
/thrust:5 (seconds)
/change:1

yea that would be funny. you could also play deathmatch with those or even base. in fact you could play everything.

an arena where you would have a limitted supply of ammo, and maybe you get more from greens from killing people or something. maybe this could be activated in twtown. that all i know about this idea.

i like the limited ammo, but i think the only way to do it is how they did ?go hitmatch

something where lag can actually be a good thing, i haven't thought about it....but lag would be the main fun for it (obviously no lag restrictions or speccing) i'll think about it..
