(never been such as good wb, but this is what I used to do)

a) Position yourself sideways in relation to nmy when recharging.

b) Always let enemy shoot first

c) Follow up with a shot while turning (so that nmy can't anticipate your angle) or rush if in a good position. Always do rock shots when you can (fly towards a rock and shoot the moment you hit it). Gets you killed if nmy has any nrgy, tho.

Good distance for this tactic is bit less than the maximum visual range.

I'm not a great wb either but...

First of all you need a big resolution, otherwise it is very difficult to fight when you're on the enemy's screen, and he's 2 screens away for you.

When you dodge, make sure you dodge away from where their bullet is going, and not into it.

Don't rush if your aim is crappy and you miss when you're half an inch from the enemy giving them an awesome opportunity to shoot you. Of course hopefully they're just as bad and will miss <-- what tends to happen to me ;P

I don't think wb is dependent on strategy, so much as it is on technique, having good aim, good dodge, good reflexes etc.

Practise with 512x384 res and you will then have good reflexes and radar shooting skills

The above is best used to quickly create an apparent sense of skill. Works well when combined with high lag, lots of ebonic like trash-talk, and multiple numbers or $ signs in your name. Reaches its highest effectiveness in elim and duels against average to above-average players, but falls apart in league play.

(For examples: Refer to any lagged nobody who whines after each death in ?go duel or ?go elim).

My post was directed towards newer players that chose to play the way you suggested Blood. If done by someone who is quite good at quick dodging and close up aim, then the type of rushing you talk about is probably the hardest style to play against (one on one).

Its not the greatest in league play though since its much harder to charge multiple enemies, kill one of them, and get away alive. It helps if you can charge players that are seperated from their team, but then again its sort of a general rule that playing 1 on 1 in a league game isnt smart. Only time when charging works in league is when your entire squad (or at least 2-3 players) are VERY good at it. I know Sika and Domi had success with it back in the old days of -Final- as well as Shriek in last season's TWD.

I agree that I dont really run, I just sort of "backup" when faced with a rusher. Standing to fight makes you a sitting duck; more vulnerable to the guy's lag and handicapping your ability to dodge. And I was only on Elusive for like 6 weeks, so insulting the squad really isnt going to accomplish anything

it's all good, i just wanted a crack at elusive. yeah, i play a bit more defensively in league games, but when i see an isolated guy I'm definitely going to try to rush him. i'm so set in my ways from elim and everything else it's hard to break free.

in my opinion and experience, the hardest person to rush is the guy who doesn't run away at all, avoids those stupid shots when someone is coming at them and has good aim. easiest rushees are the people who run away and don't really know how to fly. just stay on their case for a bit and gain the necessary energy advantage to shoot reasonably close to them and you have it
