I had an idea for a arena and was wondering who I needed to talk to about it..... Its kinda like a duel but its not one on one or teams its every man for them self and no maximum amount of people.... And also instead of dueling to a specific amount of wins or losses you would duel to a specific bounty... If somone could respond telling me what they think and how I should go about doing this that would be awsome thanx, sXe

This almost sounds like elim.....

The set bounty is probably the freshest idea in what you said. BUt, when you die your bounty is reset. Or, if you have instant respawn like in ?duel then you would try to get the most kills in order to get the most bounty. So basically its a "race" to most kills.

Once again....this sounds like elim....

Actually, the "freshest" idea of his post was his whole idea. You're basically knocking him for having an idea involving spaceships that shoot at each other.

I like that idea. 1st person to chain a certain amount of kills together. Like 1st to 100 Bty. If you die you lose it all. It could prove to be quite a battle.

They had something along these lines. It was in ?go spree. It was popular for about 2 days and then it died and they since took the bot offline

Well, then he could have simply said "Lets make a arena where you fight for top bounty" then said all that. I understand that he was giving a layout and helping out individuals that do not have a very imaginative mind, so my apologies for trying to knock that down. The bounty thing is still a bad idea, and since it might have already been done before...i will say no more.

Thanx for the input guys.... i know ive tried it with some people and its a hell of a lot of fun you could go 10 - 1000 and still win its all about stringing the kills together.... but still, i havent heard from anyone how to get the arena set up... so if you know how to set up arenas or make bots or if you could direct me to somone that could help please let me know.

Well, you can give ideas, but I believe they are backed up on creating new bots and arenas. Go to the main trenchwars site and locate "staff" link.

The development staff deal with the bots mostly, but they have also designed arenas.
Arilou is the guy that makes a lot of the newer maps. So try to email any of them. Don't spam them though. Just one email or two should do. You might not get a reply since they are backed up.

All he wants is someone to make this arena, which is verry easy to make a bot end an elim styled game at the first sight of 100 bty.

I suggest you bother me about the map. But since i dont have acess to the TW Bot Core i cannot make the bot. Talk to Codeman! i think thats the name something like that he makes bots with the twcore.

the old bots had plugins, i use one at my zone just for kicks

its called Rampage

and every 3 deaths (can be reset in the setup of the bot) it posts an arena message saying "player is on a killing spree with 3 in a row" and then has different messages for like 10 levels

also seen it with increments of 5 instead of 3


its alright, might be good with a bunch of people in, but like you say, as soon as someone dies their bounty or kill total is reset....so its hard to get on a run hehe
