Someone should make a jav guide...

I don't know if this is such a great idea, but it's something to consider. What if someone made a guide on how to do all the jav shots, angles and positions n' such. Like all the best places to put yourself in while basing and stuff. I think it could be pretty helpfull but at the same time it probably wouldn't be a very good substitute for just screwing around to try and find the best spots. Thoughts?

RB had some shots posted, but that's not nearly some of the coolest I know. And the best javs (base and dueling) come from practice, not knowing shots. If you find me in game sometime, I can show you a few cool ones. Give a buzz.

It really would be nice for someone to post a TW-specific guide. Something more specific than this. I mean, that's good and all, but it is lacking certian tactics and uses of items.

Actually i believe Zxer made a javelin guide but im not sure it included shots.i dont believe a a guide would be efficient in telling u "position urself against the top rght wall hit rocket tap once to right and fire" ???? That would never work on the more complicated shots

You could just take screenshots of the positions, and put those in a guide.

Jav shots are overrated. Most javs out there learn the shots but don't learn when to use them.

I couldn't agree more. Learning how to use the jav effectively while not putting your team at risk is much more valuable than just teaching shots. Anybody can use the angled shots inside the FR, but the inexperienced player will teamkill the 2-3 ships that are at the FR entrance. Some may blame the ships that were in the way of the bombs, but if your bombs are dangerous to your teammates, why isn't it your fault?

Also, the jav's ass bullets are probably one of the most underrated weapons in the game. Other players often forget the jav has them, and when they're used in close quarters, they can be very effective while putting the potential for teamkills at zero.

You can teach trick shots, but can't teach someone to be smart with the jav. It just comes with experience and practice.

Javs aren't hard. The only thing is to learn to dodge shots that bounce. It takes some practice because bouncing shots change direction :/ Otherwise, just be patient... wait until the other guy makes a mistake then bullet/bomb him. Firing bombs for the sake of firing them will get u killed or a squaddy killed.

Btw. Never watch your bombs being fired, it's a habit but its dangerous :/


And when basing learn to time... firing bombs that are gonna be repelled are stupid. Also, use the bombs to kill terr or a large group of spiders. Basing with javs is an art - just knowing shots is not enuf.. Timing is the key
