try star control 3. its not played in internet and its old (propably sc2 is even better than 3th) but the basic idea of fighting in that game is almost the same as in ss.

These two games are definately worth trying:
        Elastomania http://www.moposite.net
And for the next game we have huge tournaments in school. The computer room is filled up with ppl playing it.

I prefer 2player or 4 player volleyball. Some say that 2 players soccer is cool too.

Cosmic Rift is actually quite fun, just that not too many people play it and I think it's not pay to play. It's made by the guys who made Infantry, which are the same guys who programmed Subspace. So yes it's a very legitimate clone

Early and mid 90s. We used to play that game during my 7th grade English class. While cleaning out my desk a couple years ago I found my disk with the registered version on it, but WinXP doesn't treat DOS programs very well.

It was fun for a bit, when it FIRST came out, but it really started to suck. About the time it went P2P there was like ~50 people or less in the entire game, spread over like 4-5 zones.

lol...Da1andonly, yeah I remembered Scorched Earth, back when I had an Amiga in the early 90's. Remember that other game called Gravity Force? You could play 2 player split screen... and I think they were going to make it multiplayer over the internet.
I liked Gravity Force much more than Scorched Earth... friends and I would have hours of fun with it.

The only other game I know of that is remotely like Continuum, is a game called Xpilot for Unix/WinNT. Actually, some nice Dutch player in Xpilot told me about Continuum and once I played this game I never went back.
