What happens when domi, nockm, koan, and some other good jav are in public, and then there is sirnewb12412 sirnewb532164 sirnewb5126412 and sirnewb32156312 on the same freq in jav?

Now you have 4 bad javs, where 4 good javs should be, and there is no way to decide who gets to jav and who doesn't.

IMHO, it's public, granted people want more pub basing, but its public. Pub's are there for people to play with little to no restriction, that's what makes TW so wonderful, it's totally self sufficient.

I would prefer leaving guanobot the way it is, plus mr. arrogant.

I've always felt that having no-private freqs would improve pubs a lot more than not allowing levis (or even just not allowing levis to attach like on PBW). People always complain about levis ruining basing, but it's generally the levis on the privy freqs that cause the problems. The levis on freqs 0 and 1 do TK, but as we've seen with the pure pub, javs do as well, and sometimes they do it more often.


Sure, people always argue that they prefer to base with a privy freq because they weed out those who they don't want. What happens, however, is that small private freq ruins things for everyone else in the arena, plus they create a large vacuum once they leave.

having a small private freq of 4-6 people is my favorite thing to do. challenging because of small numbers, and you dont have to put up with tking, bomb catching newbies. also no shitty sharks who do nothing right and players who in general dont know what the fuck they are doing. its the big invite-all 10-15 person private freqs that make it shitty. they suck all the players out of public freqs and make the game incredibly one sided. maybe limit private frequencies to 6 or 7 players.

You know, it seems to me that people have some good ideas to improve pub basing. But I don't think anyone pays much attention to these threads (as there's so much crap on them). I'd be interested to know how pure pub came about in the first place. Was it from the forums?.

I could list a dozen things that could be done but how?

I think there should also be a limit to how many warbirds there are, it's annoying as fuck to be sniped out of every corner

Everything goes back to the flaws within the TW ship settings ... you can always try to patch things up or try to set up diff rules w/bots and whatnot ... but the fact is that TW settings have fundamental factors that don't allow for use of every ship in basing etc.

Another problem with the pure pub is that people sit in spec there not allowing others to enter the arena.

Granted that some ppl may be looking to see if anyone has some potential but I think that there should be a 5 min limit for being in spec. I know that for the most part the arena is full and a lot of times its because of people sitting in spec and it doesnt allow people to enter the arena who actually want to play.

Setting up a bot to allow for only a # of javs may be a lot of programing. To maybe start helping the number of players that dont want to base or spec make pure pub Pub 55 or something. Just so you would have to want to go there and not every one auto there.

If some one is up to the programing.

1)No priv freq over 4/5?
2)Javs limit to a number.
3)Shark limiting : /, it may not be needed, theres not that many players that want to shark, also the mine number is only 8 so...
4)The baselim idea wouldnt be that bad, maybe take car of roofers?
5)Anther idea i saw was to have a bot to limit the teams auto, a msg is givin at the bottem saying uneven teams, that would be a que to go willingly or have a random switch.
6)The safes would have to go if the belim idea went into place, there for taking car of players sitting in javs to be asses.
7)I dont think that the limit to wb's would be good, i know getting sniped is annoying but better then being tked, altho the mass spiders would be nice to see.
8)Maybe making pure pub a not so pub thing, not a pick/cap event like ?go base but just where basers go to play, that may decrese the ammout in it also.

Maybe trying a few things for us wouldn't be that hard? Give a few ideas a try, see what happens? I know the programing may be hard, but maybe some one trying/work on it on there spare time for us?

there should be more public teams, 3 perhaps, with the addition of priv teams of 5-6.

And no ship limiting, bc all ships are scary in mass.
