Back on topic, I wasn't aware Lunar was a staff member, haha! The fact that he's probably the newest ZH to hit staff (another newbie hire, good job!), combined with the fact that he's commenting on a situation that's so far over his head it's not even funny... well let's just say I'd like to hear from someone who can actually do something about the situation at hand.

And Tigerex couldn't be more correct. Like I'm actually going to waste an ounce of time fucking with the TW server. Idle threats are just that, idle. They simply tend to get the point across well, that's all.

Finally, allow me to address my aggressiveness. It's just the way I am. When I'm angry, and I get angry (or manic if you will) regularly, I use potentially offensive language. It's just one of the ways I deal. Anyway, I'm fed up with the epidemic of lagcheating in this zone. Anyone who tries to say it's not a problem is either ignoring the truth, or they simply haven't been playing long enough to have noticed a change from the way things used to be and the way they are now. PriitK may have sealed up the client tightly enough to prevent cheats like the ones Twister once brought to the table, but he sure as hell hasn't put a stop to people manipulating their latency. It's a serious issue, and it deserves serious attention from the TW staff. Why in the sam hell is it always ignored every time it's brought up? The lack of attention just pisses me right off.

Of course they're incompetent, but so what? Would you sit there online every day at everyone's beck and call? Probably not.

Note: I am referring to lower-level staff. And not the couple of people that are lower-level staff that I like.

1. Lunar has been in staff longer than I. new? no
2. We aren't going to go around and mark everyone as under the "oh they just make idle threats" and the "they are a real threat" columns. If you make a threat toward the server, we will act upon it.
3. 90% of the "lag cheats" that i've looked at are just because of the difference in ping between the 2 players, not the server itself. 1 person may ping fine toward another, but player C over here may notice that person being more of a pain to hit due to lag.

Incidentally, people have been banned for lag cheating. Since we have a policy of non-disclosure, there would be no way for you to know that. Granted, we haven't banned people for this violation in the frequency that some would like, but we have banned players who lag in the extreme. Why only in the extreme, you ask? Simply because we have no solid standard by which to determine if someone is truly lag cheating. This is something I am changing soon.

Something I will not change is the rules regarding help and cheater abuse. Jason, you've played this game long enough and have even been a staffer, you know full well that abuse of those two channels is not tolerated. I will agree that not all avenues were exhausted in dealing with this situation, but that does not excuse your behavior. You'll come to find out that in life, you will win a lot more flies with honey than with vinegar.

That email address is complaints@trenchwars.org, and to contest your bans you can email ban@trenchwars.org. Those are the official channels, and if you think we don't read and respond to those, you're wrong.

Pusher, has anybody in recent memory ever gotten in trouble after someone complains about them through formal channels? All of the axings I can think of for several months have all been evident and not needed to use the complaints email. I guess what i'm getting at is if a staffer abused power in front of me and only me (for the record, this has never happened to me) and it's my word against his, my word won't count for anything will it?
