I play in ?go javs for most of my SS time and although I can see why some people find shrap annoying, I found it fun and I was getting good at it. I think a lot of the players who played there as often as me were also for shrap, it was the people who would come in for 20 mins or so every now and again who didn't like it; mainly because they didn't play in there long enough to learn how to use shrap (Not saying they are new, just that they spent their SS time elsewhere).

If there had been a poll and it was voted that shrap should have been removed, I wouldn't have been quite so annoyed because then at least TW would have consulted the players in their views.

If shrap is to stay off permanently, would it be possible for players to request a TWBot to prize shrap via help, just like people did previously for one to reduce shrap.

Hopefully someone will read this who can make a difference.

Ewan, just ring a ding ding and i'll come and put a bot which givesyou shrap in ?go twlj or something. But the main reason that staff removed shrap was because the majority wanted it gone. And A lot of the help calls were like ?help Remove shrap now. So it was for the best.

It took us years of griping to finally get rid of shrap and now a few people want it back?! Please no, even if it is just in ?go javs . I personally spent 2-3 hours talking/pleaing with Priitk in pub one day to remove it from elim because I had seen more than a few good players and friends threaten to quit because it ruined the game (most likely an empty threat I know, but it still impressed upon me how much shrap really hurt gameplay). Priitk's response was that he saw no reason to remove shrap from javs in league/elim and that he felt it added to the game. I offered to set up some sort of poll to see if the majority of players wanted shrap or not. If the results showed that the vast majority of players did not want shrap, I asked if that would help convince him to remove it. His response was to state that most players change their views/wants all the time and he would not be swayed by the opinions of the masses (I use a much less condesending tone in my restatement).

Enough with the rant. The point is, it took a long time and a lot of effort (although something tells me the effort on the part of concerned players was wasted as it usually is when trying to improve this zone) to get shrap removed. Im glad its gone, the game is better for it being gone, and please dont ever consider bringing it back. And this from a person who truly despises javs, I cant stand them .

Fool, i can sit in a spot with 8 shrap, fire a bomb, and watch the shrap stray. I can also get in that same spot, and fire in the same place, and shrap will most likely shoot in different direction, but seeing that there is eight, some will be thrown in the same directions.

Now, obviously you dont know what the definition of random is, so until you do, dont try and prove me wrong.
