I have a cable connection, and i live in Canada. Until about 3 days ago ive never had more than 150 ms in my life (unless the server is lagging or something). Anyways, all of a sudden my c2s has gone up to an average of about 3.0%. And i cant go to a single elim, belim, base etc without lagging out because of high latency. then when i check my lag it ALWAYS says that my lag current is about 70ms... but my high is like 3000 ms.. i dont get it.

Another problem i always got is a constant high s2c. its usually under 1.0 most of the day.. but from about 6pm to 12pm it usually skyrockets to about 4-7%, making it so all i can play is pub. This is really annoying, and I'm not exactly sure why it happens. i know lots of other players in my area with DSL or cable connections like me, and they never have any problems.

And now what the hell is this slow ploss stuff? and spiking stuff?! now i cant play wbduel or base either. I heard some people talking about slow ploss here, and thought to myself "shit another lag problem thats gonna affect me" and sure enough, as soon as a wbduel game starts im specced for slow ploss or spiking.

Is it just me, or am i the laggiest guy in tw, and i have a cable connection. while people with 56k fare much better than i do?!

Anyone with possible help please reply, I'd appreciate it.

from how cable works, it could just be the fact its popular.

DSL is a dedicated line, you will never have this "problem" in theroy. Cable is a shared line, you branch off the pipeline with your cat5 or cat5e cable into your modem and boom cable internet. Well, the more people who have cable, the slower your connection speed.

it sounds like this is the problem because of the times you indiated, during "off hours" your fine, but during "prime time" your lagged because everyone else in your area is trying to go online.

think of this as you trying to order food at the local bar.
when its not prime time, you get it quick right? burger comes quick and no complaints. but if you try to order at 6pm when 100 people are there, its going to take time.

Packetloss varies sometimes. I have cable and ocasionally (once a month) I have ploss out the wazoo.

There's nothing that you personally sitting at your computer can do outside of resetting your cable modem. If the ISP in your area is not the only one availible, I would suggest trying a different one if you get a constant packetloss problem.

I dont understand though, other people in my area with a cable connection dont have the same lag as i do. and also the area i live in isnt that populated, wouldnt that have an effect, because surely not as many people are logging on in my area then say new york.

and also this c2s thing all of a sudden. for the past couple days my c2s has always been crazy, which causes me to lag out and spike everywhere. ive always had s2c, but i never spiked or lagged out due to high latency because of it. I dont understand my lag patterns at all. Just 2 minutes ago i was dding and i lagged out 3 times. everytime after i lagged out my ping was 70ms??!

well im fed up with this shit, maybe ill just quit.

i've also been experiencing some bad lag from time to time.. ever since about a week ago 25% of my hits on ppl are eats :/

wow. so if been trying to get into the game, and ive been getting disconnected after about 2 minutes every single time. this is getting really annoying.

In that case, I highly suggest trying to find a new ISP.
