Colors all messed

Ok, so I recently got lightwave off of soulseek. I begin to use it, and the colors for text windows are messed up. It's yellow and grey by default, but for whatever reason it's yellow and white for me. How can I fix this?

Through my great powers of deduction I realized it's a windows setting. When I alt-tab continuum and go to the "edit macro's" screen, the background of the place where you write is also white. I use windows ME, do you know how to change this setting? Anyone?
