ATi Radeon 9800xt 256mb. If you have the money, if not, go for the 9600xt 256mb

Motherboards- ASRock is my personal favourite manufacturer.

The model all depends on what chip you want or have.

    For an AMD Athlon CPU - ASRock K7V88;
For an Intel Pentium chip - ASRock P4V88.

These are basically the same motherboard but support different CPUs.
With 4 RAM slots, it can support a maximum of DDR400 RAM up to a capacity of 4GB.

So, if you're looking for performance, thats all you need, unless you want amotherboard that supports DDR800 RAM, but some people believe that to be overkill.

Info can be found on their site: www.asrock.com.

Well, seeing as DDR RAM is practically the only type of RAM available, that really helps him doesn't it? Plus, he wasnt asking about RAM, I was just tellign him that the mobos that I listed were compatible with up to DDR400 RAM.

Plus, according to benchmark tests, ATi can push that extra bit more of FPS than NVidia's can.

It depends... what CPU were you going to be using?

              Above average sytem =
              p4 2.8 800 mhz fsb
              512MB ddr ram
              128 MB(DDR) Radeon 9200SE
              80GB HDD
              Floppy
              Optical Drives

as far as the motherboard is conserned... I would recomend Biostar or Asus...
              They are both pretty inexpensive.

I don't want to spend more then $150 and here are my options.

                  ATI RADEON CHPSET 9600LE 256MB TV/O $129.99
                  ATI CHIPSET RADEON 9200 256 / TV/O $129.99
                  GeForce 4 TI4200 128MB DDR W/TV $129.99
                  GEFORCE FX5500LE 256MB DDR W/TV $159.99
                  GEFORCE 4 FX5200 128MB PCI $109.99

I'm currently in WoW beta so I'm looking for a top end card, well not top end but something that can give me my moneys worth. What card would be best suited and the one that runs the best frame rates? These are Canadian prices by the way. This video card will be going in a Acer 2.4 533 mzh fsb, it's decent it suppourts 4 gigs of ddr ram.
