StuffIt - mac users wanted

i got this 5 mb .stix file but i cant extract it on a win machine. every file without extension results in a filesize of 0 (at least thats what i am thinking). any ideas?

another question: can i open .ds files in windows/what are .ds files if they exist and what creates them (should be some kind of word/power point/excel/xpress)

Aren't .ds files TWAIN data sources?
