.txt gone?

O my god, I can't access the file with the log of this year

- I get this cryptic message when I try to open it in notepad:

"Cannot open the C:\Program Files\Continuum\logs\logofmylife2004.txt file.
Make sure a disk is in the drive you specified."

- Word can't open it at all (not sure it's supposed to)

- If I try to copy this file to another location I get this:
"Error Copying File or Folder
Cannot copy logofmylife2004: Data error (cyclic redundancy check)."

Please say it's not gone

It's 20-ish megs though, does that affect it?

I hate to break it to you but the file is probably damaged beyond repair. Either the file got corrupted, or your harddrive is failing. There may or may not be a program or something out there to recover PART of your file, but it's probably gone.
