subchat help needed

for those who dont know, subchat is a program you can use to login to your chats for ss without needing graphics/broadband etc. chat only.

so i'm at home for christmas, and i have 56k, and i'm having problems getting ss to work (it DCs me when i try to enter any zone).

i got subchat, made it work, got into a zone and recieved messages. then i changed the settings to try to enter tw. being a moron that i am i didnt write down the original settings, so i'm asking can someone give me the IP/port of a subchat enabled zone, bearing in mind i wanna be able to use my chats

any help is appreciated.

some zones don't allow other clients than Continuum to enter the zone. Try connection to T3 The Gauntlet!, it always worked for me there.

Subchat uses the subspace protocol and encryption schemes. So you will be unable to enter most zones, as they require continuum to play in. The best way to gather IP and Port numbers is probably by opening your zones.dat file with a text editor. Download the zone list with continuum and add zones that you are interested in. Then open the zones.dat file in the continuum directory and copy/paste out the IP and port numbers. You can also right click on the zones in Continuum and it will show you the same information. There are also clients specifically for ASSS servers, such as JACC http://forums.minegoboom.com/viewtopic.php?t=3664, but most of the SSC servers are subgame2 except hyperspace. Im not sure if Trench Wars allows subspace clients in thier zone: if they did then they would have a serious cheating problem. I believe they can allow them in the zone but only to spectate, I cant remember if there is a setting for that, havent looked at subgame2 in a while.

AHHHHHHhh! It doesn't work for any zones. I'm pretty sure I did everything right. Please help, I need it ^-^

i can enter hz, no problem. but then i cant see any messages. i know mine are getting sent because i get disconnected if i spam, but they dont appear to me. i remember having this problem before but i cant remember what i did to fix it, anyone have the answer ?

Sorry it's so big, but I wanted to include everything. In the bottom left, it shows I have the internet on. On the subchat, it says no info which is weird because it says the initializing was successful. I have been hitting enter with the text, but nothing would come up. I tried a zone that I am sysop in, but nothing works.
